Instead of adding ginger-garlic paste, there is a special hara masala, which includes fresh coriander leaves, pieces of ginger, raw green chilli, curry leaves, garlic cloves that you need to crush it in mortar and pestle, and now add this crushed mixture to boiling curry. Last, but not least sprinkle some chai masala after gujarati kadhi is cooked for enhanced flavour.
