Dr Grundry, you say that we should consume lots of olive oil. I read that 70 % of olive oils are either fake or are diluted with cheaper much worse oils like canola. Can you suggest source of or a pure olive oil brand. I would very much like to comply with your suggestion of consuming lots of this great oil. I have at least 2 1/2  gal of olive oil that did not pass the freeze test and I have to throw it out.

Thank you for your research, books and humor. Will you be writing anything in book for for Apoe4 patients? The Longevity Paradox has some, but it does not distinguish between coconut oil as much as other research I've read. With Apoe4 people, it's hard to find enough food for health when so much is removed, especially if other food allergies exist! Would love more Apoe4 recipes :-)

Hello Dr Gundry. In some of your recent work, you have advocated for the consumption of resistant starches. e.g. White Indian Basmati rice which has been cooked, cooled overnight, and reheated. I have recently experimented with a few resistant starches such as cassava, taro, sweet potato, and Jamaican yams, subjecting them to the same cooking and cooling treatment as you recommended for the Basmati rice. I felt fantastic. My question: How much should we eat? Based on the macronutrient numbers for these starches, I should eschew anything more than a tablespoon or two of these per day. However, my experience says that I can handle more. Do you have a guideline for the frequency and quantity for these kinds of resistant starches?

Great video, Dr Gundry. Appreciate your take on most things! Confused about your comments regarding canned beans...I don’t think anyone cans beans (home or commercial) without using a pressure cooker of some sort. Beans are just too subject to bacteria in any other form of canning, so I certainly think every brand is pressure cooked, not just Eden’s and that is probably by standards for processing. Would be glad if you did some more research into that and verify and if you agree, you could just encourage people to buy canned beans if they are not going to pressure cook their own, and not just endorse Edens. Thank you!

I have read your first three books. Question: Have you ever heard of leaf protein -- sometimes called concentrated leaf protein? What do you think of it? Let's say it could be from tree collards, or moringa leaves, or gogi leaves, or industrial hemp leaves, or stinging nettle leaves? In other words not just kale, collards, spinach and tree collards, or micro greens. What I read is that leaf protein is made up of shorter/smaller proteins that are much easier for the body to digest, much less effort, less energy needed, digests quicker. Is that true? .... The thing is, people who are allergic to wheat, dairy and soy, and have a hard time with beans, even when those legumes are pressure cooked, do not have a lot of choices or options when it comes to protein -- IF they want to be vegan or vegetarian. The wheat protein molecule and the milk protein molecule are almost alike -- people who are allergic to one are usually allergic to the other. Leaf protein would change that limitation. That is my situation, and this is my hope. But also, in a world that will soon be ten billion people, we need new sources of cheap healthy protein. Thanks. I have a friend who had a wholesale & retail nursery that sells goji. He had tests done on the leaves and the lab found no lectins or anti nutrients in the leaves.

Hi dr. Gundry, I am a relly big fan and a proponent of your diet and your ideas generally. I have, although, one question that bothers me, and that is about saturated fats. In one of your videos you said that if we want to stay healthy, we need to stay away from saturated fats in general, and you mentioned the famous study from dr. Ancel Keys. As I am really curious about health and healthy food´s, I read books from different authors that have a similar philosophy as yourself, with an exception of them promoting grass fed satureted fats as very healthy. Some of them were even your guests in your videos, like dr. Mercola and Dave Asprey (even he isn´t an MD, he did some serious research), and their diet plans are recognised as effective methods for healing and having more energy. I heard lot´s of times them saying that our cell membranes are greatly made up of saturated fat, and that this would be an obvious reason to consume more of these fats. They also demonised dr. Ancel Keys with some pretty strong arguments, and frankly they are just a drop in the ocean of people who share the same opinion. But, you dr. Gundry are undoubtedly the greatest name with the most impressive career of all the NY-Times best selling authors abouth health and dieting, and I would be more than thankful if you could share with us a more detailed opinion on that topic! Thank you for looking up for us and greetings from Munich!
