When you said 16,000 feet deep .. shivers down me spine. Made me think of pirates and old wood ships caught in heavy seas and sinking with ppl still down in the galley or locked up and having no choice but to go down with the ship into what would be painful depths and then lights out. Scary.

It is amazing to see someone(you in this case) rollin' trough the ocean in such a little bathtub.. Also, it is admirable the way your boat is rigged and the philosophy behind every step you make.. Just keep out of the wrong latitudes, all the best..

nice video. Great boat- the modification to the companionway makes a lot of sense in weather like that. The stock ones on the Contessa's look a bit like an entrance to the hobbit house.

I'm surprised you don't have a diesel heater or something along those lines, for this kind of sailing.

There goes my solo sailing career before it has even started! There is no way I could sleep in 20 minute chunks for many consecutive nights. But hats off to those who can.
