Chassis: 4757GT
Completed in June of 1963, this 250 GTO was sold new to Count Volpi for his Scuderia SSS Republica di Venezia. It was entered at Le Mans for Carlo Maria Abate and Fernand Tavano. They failed to finish following an accident. Chassis 4757GT was then raced successfully by Abate in several hillclimbs. In Belgian ownership, it was raced in local events during the 1964 and 1965 seasons. It was then sold to the United States, where it passed through various hands before it was confiscated by the FBI in 1984 after its then owner was indicted for drugs smuggling. It was eventually sold at auction and acquired in the late 1980s by Dutch Ferrari importer Fritz Kroymans. He raced the car extensively until his business empire collapsed and he was forced to sell his collection in 2010.

ОтветитьDaytona Coupe would beat it in a race.
ОтветитьStunning car. Along with the jaguar e type the most beautiful cars ever made. Elegance with a dash of naughtiness. Remembering people made this car with passion and not science.

ОтветитьMy all time favorite car. Ever since my first Revel slot car.
ОтветитьDal video vedo zero attenzione delle persone ad avvicinarsi ad un'auto di così alto valore, fosse stata mia probabilmente l'avrei protetta con qualche cosa per non avvicinarsi troppo.
ОтветитьShe did a few races between 1963 and 1964, notably Le Mans 1963, where she finished 4th overall and 2nd in the GT3.0 category

ОтветитьIt's a replica. Fiberglass body on a Datsun Z car. I can tell by the shape of the windshield. And how the corners of the side windows meet with it. I own 5 of the Z cars. I recognize one when I see one.
