A single man: my absolute favourite Colin Firth movie! Tom Ford is a genuine artist taking perfectionism to a brand new level.

Can you imagine those handsome men and on top of that styled and directed by Tom Ford!

I have had a crush on Colin Firth and Matthew Goode since the first time I saw each of them. So these scenes are really electric for me. They both have smiles that light up their whole faces. As a side note, I was lucky enough to visit the house they use as their home in the film. The owners kindly opened it to architecture fans for a Glendale Heritage Society (I thk it's called) architecture tour. Absolutely stunning home.

One of my favourite movies, Tom Ford captures so many 'spirits' and characteristics and dissects them in isolated scenes like the Spanish guy under the warm sun in the parking lot.. but this scene.. this has to be the pinnacle of charm ever portrayed by an individual

Matthew Goode is so versatile, he's so painfully good looking and such a brilliant actor. From Chasing Liberty, Stoker, Burning Man, and Discovery of Witches...he can literally do it all. I hope he gets to do more action lead roles in the future too.

A final bit of gay history trivia. "Blue" was a codeword for a gay friendly establishment. Bars in SF defined themselves based on the color of the bird the establishment was named for, most famously the "Blue Parrot" Tom Ford's repeated use of the color and the song name in this scene is a reflection of that.

Soooooo many sailors! For years, men only bars were raided, so to prevent that, men were encouraged to bring lady friends as "dates". Often lesbians, once inside folks would pair off if there was interest, such as this moment. Men would sometimes dance with each other. If the cops showed up the ladies were expected to jump in, in a partner switch.

Matthew Goode is an underrated actor. He's so great. subtle but yet electric performance even in this scene.

Imagine getting so triggered over the love of two men that you have to decry the career and sexuality of the lead actor. Well, joke's on you, Firth is doing very well today.
