the finicky wall jump in combo with the 2 part roof jump made this hell.

Gaming gods have blessed me after 3 hours of trying to wall kick up to the ledge, got the star first try after making it up, now I can die in peace

How do you even get the stairs to begin with

For the big boo, i would recommend the backwards jump from crouching position, followed immediately by a ground pound.

As an amateur gamer, I didn't know how to get this star, so I looked it up and found this video
My first thought were "HOW THE HELL DID NINTENDO EXPECT US TO DO THIS!?"

The fact that they expect kids to be able to get on top of the roof is beyond me, I struggled for at least 15 minutes to do it.

Somebody might’ve said this already, but if you’re having trouble getting to the star on the roof, try crawling across! Worked for me!

Would hsve never found this on my own. The camera angle sucks. Woild have never seen it.

To this day I believe they forgot to put like a switch to get to this star and the methods we’ve had to use weren’t intentional

The color saturation on my TV is so low that the entire roof of the building is straight up black. The ledges to get to the star are entirely black. I don't even feel bad for having to resort to watching this video to figure it out.

Bro is this the traditional way? Because I've been killing myself trying to find a way that doesn't seem too hard. I did it, but wall jumping like that just didn't feel right.

i really hate this level. i keep falling off the roof and that impossible wall jump is getting on my last nerve. please tell; me theres a way up that roof?

I felt so rewarded when I finally got to the top of the mansion to get this.

If you are struggling with the wall jump, when you press a to jump off the wall, hold a down. Mario jumps higher and then it becomes much easier

why yall complaining about getting to star yo it was so easy just 2 long jumps that aren’t even precise and a few jumps to keep from sliding

On the ds version it had a float flower. None of this wall kick nonsense. I guess people complained lol
