Also, why?
Advantage on WFSB was an institution.
Welp, here we go again. Advantage was such a classic here on WFSB and now it seems to be like newer and present-day packages are becoming a thing. WFSB is probably never gonna be the same again without it!
ОтветитьEwwww 🤮
ОтветитьTo be honest, i prefer using the previous music package instead of using Guardian. WFSB and their previous music package was a perfect duo ngl.
ОтветитьThis Is Channel 9 Eyewitness News, Coverage You Can Count On!
ОтветитьSo, graphics refresh is imminent for WFSB with the music change. So, is Gray gonna be steaming the Stephen Arnold Music train across former Meredith legacies, since they ditched WCPM upon the Atlanta News First launch?
Ответитьthe day wsb and wftv (and by extension wfla and kiro) drop guardian is the day it becomes the official midsized to small market default news theme, replacing arial. still stand by this
ОтветитьY tho
ОтветитьAs a lifelong Connecticut resident (21.5 years) it’s weird hearing some other than Advantage on WFSB. I kinda saw this coming, however, because I saw an ‘FSB promo last week for the US Senate Debate which will air tomorrow night (Wed 11/2/22) and thought to myself “Is that Guardian that I just heard?” They also updated the weather graphics and logo even though they can’t use “First Alert Weather” because NBC Connecticut has since 2013.
ОтветитьSo nooow they're using WSB AND KIRO's theme?!?
ОтветитьSad to hear Advantage gone from WFSB , Gray must want Stephen Arnold packages or something
ОтветитьIt’s a shame that WFSB has lost their sonic identifier, but in truth, I doubt many people care. WFSB has already lost a great deal of people due to various circumstances. Of course, there was the tragic passing of Denise D’Ascenzo, but also the unceremonious firing of Dennis House and the retirements of Kevin Hogan and Bruce DePriest. In their wake, the station does not have a solid enough foundation to build upon for the future, and any continued ratings success is in spite of all the instability the station has faced. When put in perspective, the retirement of a music package that was starting to sound stale anyway isn’t a big deal.
Their sonic identity may be gone, but their identity as a station has been lost for quite some time (thanks, Meredith). And I agree, WTNH puts out a superior product these days.
As a Connecticut born and raised, it’s definitely different not hearing Advantage on channel 3. They’ve definitely had a lot of changes in a very short amount of time and sadly it all started with the sudden and unexpected passing of Denise D’Ascenzo three years ago next month. It seems like everyone has been scattering like ants from channel 3 since then because of all the changes in leadership there…
