I have been looking forward to your thoughts on this book. I read it earlier this year and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I too, had preconceived notions about it from movies/pop culture. Great job reviewing!

I loved penny dreadful

This is the only book I have given 5 stars. It is literary perfection in my point of view.
