Dick is so "precious"
ОтветитьJAYAZZZJHSHSH shakes hands
ОтветитьLiza's adorable, but this isn't Dick's finest 7 minutes.
ОтветитьCavett is tone deaf here - he doesn't know when to shut up, when to stop interrupting, has to be brought back to the question he asked. Really annoying.
ОтветитьThe 'real Sally Bowles' died about a year after this aired. She was 61
ОтветитьGawd, she sounds like Judy❤️
ОтветитьGod, who gave this mediocre idiot a talk show back in the day? He's a special kind of awful.
ОтветитьShe’s prettier 20 years after this. I don’t know how that happened.
ОтветитьThere's something strange with this interview... Maybe he was flirting with her perhaps?
ОтветитьWhat's up with Cavett? Doesn't let Minelli answer a question. Constantly interrupts her with his boring stories. Even Minelli scolded him for it.
ОтветитьCouldn’t stand Cavett as an interviewer. More concerned with being clever for the audience, basically talking about nothing, asking silly questions
ОтветитьMinnelli looks like she’s wearing a black helmet
ОтветитьImmotions does not care the others
ОтветитьShe's so nervous of the films reception. Little did she know it would walk away with Best Director, Best Suppprting Actor and Best Actress. Sally bowles, a haunting iconic performance.
Ответитьman i love her voice
ОтветитьWow. I remember Cavett being a good interviewer. What a boor (and a bore). Taking all that time to tell HIS dull anecdote, preening about his talent with languages and accents, instead of interviewing his much-more interesting guest. I seem to remember him having a show with the whole Cabaret cast after the movie opened. But maybe it was a different chat show host
ОтветитьDick is kind of a dick
Ответитьshe is a literal ball of sunshine
ОтветитьI think Mr. Cavett was a bit smitten by this cutie. Perhaps that's why he came off somewhat jumbled. Can't blame him. She was adorable.
ОтветитьI wonder if she’s wearing Halston?
ОтветитьLook at her STYLE. Did you know she took the scissors to that point in her hair HERSELF? It was a creative decision for sally bowls! She really took the hardest haircut in the world (sassoon mod 5 point) and cut a point into it.
Ответитьgood grief. Cavett might as well have been drooling.
ОтветитьThank you Judy Garland the greatest female entertainer of the 20th century
Ответить“Ya guys.... ya guys...” ugh— so over acting ALL the time
ОтветитьI love you Tube and Liza Minnelli ! I love watching Liza Lorna Judy Mickey Rooney movies clips from interviews of people I like and families I like like Family Five Vlogs ! You Tube has great content and love to watch You Tube videos and love the ones like this one !
ОтветитьHe is insufferable. And he's on film saying that Judy Garland was a terrible actress.
Ответитьhave nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rarities much like the other videos around here.
ОтветитьBoth are enjoying each other’s company
ОтветитьEvery time I hear Liza do that goofy laugh of hers, I find myself involuntarily smiling
ОтветитьThe crew called her Sally Bowels because of her chronic farting.
ОтветитьWay way before the sometimes crazy talk shows of today.
ОтветитьLooking at young Liza reminded me of somebody I couldn’t quite put my finger on til it hit me she had a little bit of an Anne Hathaway thing going on
ОтветитьDC is usually an all time great interviewer, but this interview and the one with Helen Mirren where he talks about Judy Garland just make me think he doesn’t like that family. He’s really bad in both interviews
Ответитьnever heard such sustained applause for a movie clip before
Ответитьi wish we could know which clip! after i hear “need a glass of water” the clip , i’d guess, had to be
‘Mein Herr’!!🔥
As an actor myself, I can truly relate to her nervousness on the release of "Caberet." The truth is, NO actor ever thinks his next movie will be a dud, everyone in this business is here to make a profit, and hopefully, a classic, which in this happy case, WAS the case. This was one of the finest screen adaptations of any Broadway musical I have ever seen, one for the ages.
ОтветитьCavett didn’t give Liza a way in. The interview went nowhere.
ОтветитьThe dangers of being an innocent abroad.
ОтветитьThe film made me the man I am. My parents would be shocked. If you don't know the film you are not real!
ОтветитьThe character of Sally Bowles was based on Jean Ross who sadly died in 1973.
ОтветитьI still feel ppl don't see how bloody good an actress she is, sterile cuckoo is tremendous and well cabaret... wow still hits
Ответить"I don't know!" Cabaret is near Nirvana. And Dick should know but, why does he talk so much in this interview?
ОтветитьThat guy is such a stiff...
ОтветитьI’m sorry but he’s a dodo…
Ответитьjust did a google and Sally Bowles was a fictional character, but based on someone else with a different name. And she wrote all those adverts for her to get in contact?! As for the host, he's extremely rude, and I'm sure he has / had ADD, he hardly listens and constantly changes the subject!!!
Ответить🧄
ОтветитьVery few people who were Liza's age, 26 in 1972 had hair like that. This was when she was quite the fashion trendsetter
ОтветитьHe really was terrible as a host --- meant to INTERVIEW Liza.. he was way to busy talking about himself. It's one thing to head off on a tangent (perhaps to make her feel more at ease).. but then he NEVER circled back. (instead, Liza was the one to come back to the question.. and provided the answer).. really not good
ОтветитьLiza is still fabulous!
