GEPRC TERN-LR40 - Reinventing the Long Range FPV Drone - Review

Starting FPV in near future, and what FPV drone would you recommend, the Tren LR40 or the rekon 5. O3 unit on both. Would like to have budget on drone +/- 500 dollar.

Thank you very much for the useful info that the drone itself weighs under 250g. However with any battery, it will be over 250g, so it doesn't matter at all😊

make sure the TX from crossfire isnt connected to the same RX that is using esc telemetry. even if you have esc telemetry turned off it can interfere and cause that RX loss. i had a similar issue.

I'd try switching to 115200Hz from 40000 in the TX to try to get rid of the telemetry warnings.

Steve, Do you have your goggles set to turn on and the O3 is in low power mode? Just wondering since my Goggles V2 if low power mode is enabled the O3 stays in low power mode when it takes off and flying. I disabled it on the my goggles V2 as a workaround. All the OSD info is working great too.

I think this drone really checks a lot of boxes. Finally, a drone that is actually going to work as the name implies in "head less mode". Plus just looking at it not flying is a real head Terner. For me it was good that the video footage was taken right from the DJI unit. The down side is you flew this in Canada. Canada needs to address this issue in 2024. Next thing that Canada needs to address is ice fishing is has to be reduced? Now I'm so glad you are ending 2023 Beard Strong. I think that was unpredictable at the start of 2023. And short version of xf antenna works twice worse! I change for the normal one every time!

Your 1100 hv battery is same weight as normal 850 so no prob . I use on similar quad (chimera 4 lr) normal 1200 1300 battery (15min) of 150g no prob! Can do power loops! Lion takes 24+ min so probably better have 2of 1500 vs 3000lion weight and power wise

With the m10 chips you don't need the unicorn appendage, a gpsmate in a tpu mount on the back will cover all bases. Where is the mounted xt60 plate? 2023 we expect these details as standard i would have thought.

@captain the telemetry on crossfire is only transmitted at 25mw from the rx, that's why it drops out all the time
