Great video. Love the tips about reset. Gets us grounded.👍👍👍
ОтветитьI can’t even tell you how often I rewatch this video even though I know it by heart, it’s like a comforting favorite book. Calming, reassuring, bigger picture focusing❤️ Thank you!
ОтветитьAlthough I already do most of this, I love the structure of making sure to follow the steps! Definitely referring back to this video! Love it!
ОтветитьI've just recently been given a cane to walk with and feel like I can't do most house cleaning. I think it's because while I'm doing one thing, I look around at the hundred other things that I need to do with my limited energy and I get really frustrated. I've been watching your videos and they are very motivating. This list of 8 is a lifesaver! I start at the beginning and if I start to get off track doing one of the tasks, I get focused again and keep going. When I got to the end, my house was reset--even though it took me much more than 2 hours because I had to take rest breaks when I got tired. But, when I'd had a little rest, I went right back to what I was doing. I'm not a multi-tasker, I'm a one-thing-at-a-time kinda gal. Jumping from one thought to the next while I'm doing something else that I should be focused on just makes me tired. Multi-tasking is a myth. It just means that someone can hop from one task to another very quickly. I get in so much overwhelm when I do that. Your list has allowed me to focus on one job at a time and have a real feeling of accomplishment at the end of the reset!
ОтветитьClear flat surfaces!? that'll take me at least 4 hours....
ОтветитьThis makes more sense than anything else I've watched.
ОтветитьI just got back from a work trip, and the house is a mess (I was away for 13 days)... My boyfriend was in the house on his own, along with 4 pets to take care of. I know he tried his best to keep things as clean as possible, but you know...
I will use this reset now! And see the immediate results. Thank you!
I’ve been in a funk lately due to a pulled muscle in my leg. I noticed your 2-hour reset this morning and got busy and did all 8 steps you recommended. I feel so much better. You are a great motivator!!!
ОтветитьStep five will be so hard, my washer machine is broken and completely floods whenever it is used and all my clothes are dirty so I need to hand wash everything...
ОтветитьI'd put laundry as #1 so that can get washing while I'm cleaning house. Then #2 as I sweep, tidy up, and gather trash from each room!! I think myself like the Tanzanian devil from Looney Tunes, a cleanup tornado!!
ОтветитьYour sentence about if you don't have kids you might be confused about why furniture is moved around the house made me giggle. My kids are grown but I can so relate - forts with the couch, trains with the chairs, and houses with boxes all require moving furniture. Just so true and funny!
ОтветитьOmg I love your doggie!
ОтветитьI still come back to this video to get me moving to remind me how to start .
ОтветитьI could do this room by room! I feel confident about this list. :)
ОтветитьI study decluttering and house cleaning hacks and have had various lists but I LOVE ❤️ this approach to daily cleaning. My BIG items hang out in the foyer for days- no more
ОтветитьI have been following so many on you tube for this topic. And finally I found your video today. I should say this is the simplest and workable video so far! Great job! This really made me subscribe to your channel :)
ОтветитьToo much talking, get to the point!
ОтветитьSeriously thank you so much for this video. I paused the video as I went through each step because my house was feeling overwhelming and this felt like it took so much off my plate. I’m a sucker for numbered and dotted lists.
ОтветитьI literally watch this video every time I do a big cleaning. 1-2x a month. I like to hear why I should do the things and I also like to feel like I am cleaning with someone who is also cleaning their home. If that makes sense? Idk, I like it. This is a good video. hope everyone is having a good day :)
ОтветитьThis is 1000% for moms because 90% of this stuff wouldn't have made sense to me before starting a family 😅 thank you for the random basket idea! I always get distracted or unmotivated when I find stuff I can't completely put somewhere right away 🙄
ОтветитьBest Video!!! Thank you, Kallie! :D
ОтветитьHow big of a basket do I need...? humm, one as big as my apt!
ОтветитьI’m saving this, and going to try it! It’s very logical in terms of “if we were expecting guests, what would be most important?” Hens, the basket as the last step, since you could shove it in a corner, and tend to it when they leave 😅
ОтветитьWatching this, I thought "Well the first 2 don't apply to me - I don't have trash lying around, or big items in the wrong place". Then I looked around, oh there's the cardboard box my puppy chewed up and the empty tins I didn't put in the recycling yet, and the side table I'd randomly moved across the room.
Sometimes you need to have someone else point out the obvious quick wins :)
I just found your channel and am binge watching your videos!!!!! You are soooo completely inspirational!!!
Ответить✏️ Frogenius W. WROTE:
“1. Throw away trash
2. Put back away big items (eg.furniture)
3. Clear flat surfaces (only collect into a basket, no putting away)
4. Dishes
5. Laundry (start a load or dry one or fold a clean one)
6. Bed
7. Clean surfaces
8. Put away all the collected things from step 3 in their places!”
excellent video
ОтветитьYour dog 😍
ОтветитьYou are so relatable and easy to listen to! I'm so happy I found your channel. Its really helping me get motivated to get my house reset, and create 3 minute cleanup tasks for my kids!
ОтветитьMy husband bought my Deebot last year. I absolutely love it. ❤
ОтветитьSadly your tipps don't work for my tiny 20 qm appartment... :') It's so small, that it looks terrible all the time! 🥺 It's crazy to see, that most Americans have a own house at an age of 18-25! That's impossible for most Germans... 😅
ОтветитьAll great tips! I recently discovered a product that makes making the bed easier and quicker called Beddy’s. It’s bedding that’s all-in-one meaning there aren’t separate sheets and a comforter to deal with. There’s two parts: the bottom (which acts like your fitted sheet that you put on your mattress) and the top part (which is the top sheet and comforter in one) and to make your bed in the morning you just zip the two parts together like a sleeping bag. We’ve had ours for about a week and I LOVE it.
ОтветитьThank you!!! I literally did it this morning while watching your video. But man oh man my ADHD killed me! I start something, see an item, remember something, forget what I was doing, tend to that halfway till I see another item… repeat!😅
ОтветитьWhere is you couch from? We’ve been looking for a similar one. I love your style. ❤ also good tips 😊
ОтветитьGame changer, so obvious but never thought to do it....carry a basket for flat surfaces!!! Instead of my usual, pick up item, find spot, return and repeat which takes forever!!! Tend to it later, accomplish surfaces first to actually complete the task.
ОтветитьThis idea of a reset is simple. However, my house is not. I have been in this house for 38 years. I am dealing with the surface cleaning, but also my mother's things, my mother-in-law's things, my things and my late husband's things. I am not where I want to be but I'm getting there in spite of dealing with colon cancer.
I enjoy your intro with the 2 little kids. Little children and dogs always bring cheer to my life and I say there's 3 things to do every day (when you can): 1. Kiss a baby 2. Pet a dog and 3. Say thank you to a veteran. Keep up the good work with your videos.
I really do use coffee as a reward for completing a task 😊
ОтветитьStep 3 is liek 400 things to put away......sigh
ОтветитьThank you! I'm about to do this today!!
ОтветитьThis is the one I was looking for, with the big 3 and then the rest.
Ответить⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
ОтветитьIt's an identity. It's a very powerful thing. A name. Like words have meaning. We speak things into existence and so to change a name is low key creating a new person or a better version of yourself!
ОтветитьI start with dishes, put away appliances, wipe counters. That usually does it. Then put away toys, clothes and random items. But I can’t think until the dishes are cleared.
