The best tutorial I have seen. Can you add a couple of additional trip scenarios to include 11 and 14 hour rules, time zone changes? Also, how do you figure out WHERE you will take your breaks and resets. Thank you kindly. Randall-Atlanta
ОтветитьHow do you take this info and determine where you can stop for your 10-hr so, you can plan ahead to find a place to sleep for the night?
Ответитьmane u confusing people wit this smh
Ответитьyou lost me at "65". . .
Try driving through the cascades , w high cross winds, and an empty trailer-
Thank you for the video. Depending on the overall miles, I would also factor in the 10 hour rest period plus fueling.
ОтветитьAll the routes have multiple construction zones
ОтветитьGreat video bruh🎉👍💯
ОтветитьGreat information. Thank you for this video.🙋🏾♂️👍
ОтветитьIn California I always do my trip planning at 50 miles an hour.
ОтветитьGood video. The only thing you forgot to factor in was traveling thru the time zones.
ОтветитьLearning this because I was watching a new truck driver vlog his first couple of weeks and I saw how much he struggled
ОтветитьOMG Thank You!!!!
ОтветитьThank you !! You made this so simple.
ОтветитьAwesome! Thank you
Ответитьwhy didn't we round up the 9.6 min in the third trip to 10
ОтветитьIs this including any dh miles?
ОтветитьGood video man
ОтветитьI was always gone 50 miles an hour average that may be a little outdated so I'm going to bump it up to 55 for me
Ответитьgood wisdom!
ОтветитьSit in the office make deal with the clients for best profit.
ОтветитьThis calculation I and many other the driver have trouble to keep up. Because it was between the brokers and the clients they make deal rather than from the driver handle the late night transport and season and time different. And also how much weight in the truck. For move up hill and how Lengthy the up hill is. There is no such the 10% cushion for late it is working. Especially moving multiple lane for straight unsafe. While the right land for all driver outer lane to return to city or get ready return to the cities along the interstate and the right lane also the releasing traffic for merging a lot from cities to the interstate Hwy. It is not work in peak hour and it is also not work at night time at visibility and hill road and winter time. Too guy make deal then too guy make the pick up and delivery. BS sign out
ОтветитьOk - who is fueling Your trucks ? Does it take time ??? What about California 55 speed limits? What about road works, detours, bad weather etc - why 65 miles??? What about PTI - takes minimum 20 minutes plus. What about team driving in long hauls - switching time ??? Plus 40 min (coffee, restroom, wake up time). Man - 10% is not enough. Poor approach
ОтветитьGreat info
ОтветитьHow do you account for loading and uploading times? Especially if you're hauling loads with different delivery points?
ОтветитьI use to look up the traveling distance and time on Google. Then I look at the time is supposed to be delivered. Then I add an additional 1hour and 30mins to buffer time. For instance, let’s say I have to deliver a load that is 878.1 miles and it takes 12 hours and 10 minutes of travel time. Let’s say the load has to be delivered on Monday by 3pm. I calculated the time zone I enter then leave an additional 1 to 2 hours of drive time. Then I add maybe an additional hour for stops and breaks. So I started traveling 3 to 4 hours earlier than needed. Do you think this is a good method or should I punch in numbers as you just described in the video.
ОтветитьHi, I have been watching your videos for some days now and I am looking into buying a truck. What do you think of 2015 Volvo with 7000K Miles? Is there things that Freightliner can haul that a Volvo cannot. I heard of steering differences but not hauling power differences. Please help a rookie make a choice on truck. Budget is about 35K
ОтветитьI am glad you fixed the mistake. I was like dude. How do you go by 9.16 to 8.16hrs. I was about to call my mom because she knows math more than me hahaha
ОтветитьDamn this a whole math tutorial for me but I’m not mad 😂😂😂😂 Have to learn it.
ОтветитьGreat video! I used to drive for Steven's Transport. They did all their calculations at 50 mph.
ОтветитьHey Mr McGill I just wanted to say I really appreciate your videos you have really given me some things to think about and because of u ive finally decided that in the coming 2 years I'm gonna start prepping to become an owner operator of my own and I hope to one day have my own fleet
ОтветитьIs it a good idea to lease a truck when starting your trucking business
ОтветитьHi David how can I get in touch with you to discuss the consultation you provide? Thanks
ОтветитьAs always a very informative Video!!💯 Great trip planning!!
ОтветитьI'm more of a K.I.S.S. method type of driver. If I need a calculator then I'm working too hard. A 220 mile run takes 4 hours. A 500 mile run takes 10 hours. Start to finish. That allows for pre-trips, fuel, traffic (in most areas) and 30 min breaks. The method is simple mental math take the first number of the 3 digit number and double it.
If you're traveling through any major city during rush hour then add 1 after you double.
You'll be early (but not too early) 99% of the time. And you won't be speeding to arrive on time.
Just did a consultation with David ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. David was amazing and was by far the most informative and helpful in this business. I really appreciate the time he took to break down and explain things. He answered all my questions. I left the call feeling like I'm on my way to greatness! Thank you! Everyone watch his videos! Take notes! Trust me I followed his blueprint and made it happen!
ОтветитьHey David thank you for your business consultation it was very informative for starting my trucking company.keep up the good work 👍
ОтветитьDave i have question for you and I dont have much time
ОтветитьThank you, David, I was able to learn everything from your channel all the details, however, after our call, I was able to go to the points I had missed and we covered of course them. ОтветитьHey family, I'm just writing because I have not heard from you in a while. You were instrumental in encouraging me to start my own trucking business but you have disappeared. I hope that all is well with you. How is the business going Are you still in trucking?
ОтветитьHad a consult with David. Definitely underpriced right now in my opinion. If you're serious about starting a trucking company I'd definitely recommend making a list of all your questions and scheduling a call. 💯
ОтветитьHow can I get in touch with you ?
ОтветитьWhere have you been David?? Hope all is well
