Luv it!
ОтветитьHaven't watched the whole video, can't help thinking resin instead of plaster would have been better?
ОтветитьYou should send this to @FLOSSYCARTER
ОтветитьRandom question I know, but what is the colour on your walls please? Looks just what I'm after for my office! Thanks!
Ответить-thank you so much!
ОтветитьThese look fantastic, and I'm sure they sound just as good!
ОтветитьI like your do it yourself projects
ОтветитьWould definitely be cool to see a build of a proper “sub”woofer which actually goes into the subwoofer frequency range. It’s very hard to find commercial speakers which actually go below 30hz, much less to the 19hz of my SVS system
ОтветитьMr Maker's serious younger brother
ОтветитьDo you have reccomendation for full sb acoustic speaker ?
Ответитьsimple boxes are still better than most manufactured speakers
Ответитьbro! you need to open your own music and audio company, I would buy your speakers
ОтветитьBad speakers have tuned ports. Good speakers are in sealed boxes. Tuned ports destroy the bass impulse response and give extra mid bass whilst sacrificing low bass. The bass rolloff below the port frequency is 6 dB/octave steeper than a sealed box.
Ports provide extra low quality bass while adding nothing of value.
Just finished my pair of these speakers😎. They are rediculouly cool. The sound quality is astonishing. Waiting on the programmer to flash the eeprom as with SigmaDSP Arduino lib I cannot for some reason to put adau1401 to selfboot mode :(. So speakers should be aways on for now. I have them on zone 2 of my receiver at the moment. Put them there for the purpose of comparison with Klipsch rp280f. A lot to say... Bottom line, the project is awsome! Great thanks to Matt and his team for making this cool content.🎉
ОтветитьDo a give away and send it to me. 😂
ОтветитьWhat's the model of the mic and which software do you use to do your measures ? Pretty interesting video, thank you for that !
Ответитьi always use window seal for speakers. never even thought of using blue tack :D
ОтветитьGenuinely wonderful video, thank you !!
ОтветитьBrilliant. Thats all i can say!!!
Ответитьwanker
ОтветитьMaybe missed it, was there blow out hole for woofer?
ОтветитьAmazing…..until the videogames aperes
ОтветитьSmiled when I saw Hornresp 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽.
Ответить👌
ОтветитьI can just imagine all the hours put into this build, and that shows in the quality of the video.
Very well done!
I love this build. I only recommend flipping the fans around so they pull rather then push. It keeps dust out the best. Gamecube took this method and all you had to do was blow air on the fan to clean it
ОтветитьNext time I think make the port with the printer and stick with wood for the speaker chamber since it's still a basic cube. Best of both worlds. Plaster is really interesting material for this though
Ответитьmade line production i would buy one, no time to build though X'D
Ответитьyour work here is absolutely SUPERB and attention to detail is absolutely NEXT level. your speakers have far better stage and depth than the bookshelf speakers you compared against.
ОтветитьImpressive
ОтветитьVery impressive. It would be nice if you could demo how they sound with a decent source, rather than a game.
ОтветитьThis is absolutely brilliant, thanks for sharing your ideas so generously!
Ответитьjust curious, instead of plaster for the in wall filler, could you use expanding foam, fiberglass, rock wool, etc) to prevent that resonance? or it more about making the walls as dense as possible?
ОтветитьBOSE is always expensive... and plays average. For me... this monitors plays far far more batter that this build ones. 😀 But this build ones have deeper better bass. But higher mid and high tones range need to be corrected. But for my experience... I NEVER EVER met great speakers that will play whole spectrum of sound just 'perfect' for me. 😀But I will be more then happy if you do some wave sound comparing between this two speakers. Also maybe build some hybrid? :-D
Same thing is with amplifiers... only Yamaha A series give me almost perfect sound... but on 2 different set of speakers. Because 1 set is good for playing particular music and another one for rest. 😀
What if we change from paper of paris substance to silicone filler ? Is that going to change the quality of the sound ?
ОтветитьSo you built a transmission line speaker 👍
ОтветитьGreat video
ОтветитьWould je bewilliing ro make one for my Vespa sean.
If this help*, ik starting a now after 4-⁶?5 years painm
Quick question, why wouldn't you use layers of wood cut In the desired shape? Would the material make a great difference? As in a bad way.
Ответитьvery cool
ОтветитьThis is incredible! Placing my order now 😁
Ответитьthis is awesome !
i no way have the fab skills to print and assemble these and do the electronics but would like some!
so will you make them and sell them completed ? IF you did ? what would be the price ?
BTW I have a Horrible BOSE optional sound system in a used ferrari F430 I bought ( Bose stands for :Buy Other Sound Equipment ! ) LOL
So i am intrigued about some high perf small subs / woofers as the bose has a small sub and passive radiator ! in a small box under dash under the the radio on the center tunnel between driver and passenger . they only put this system in a few cars so no one has experience dealing w/ it . improving it it needs it it sounds like shite !
Do you have a headset unit? I can't use speakers in game cause noise pollution😁
ОтветитьMake Electrostatic speakers next time, please. I would like to see how you do it.
Ответить3D printed speaker BOX
