In his 40s looked in his 70s. One of my favorite actors (because my name is Marvin perhaps.) Loved him in The Big Red One and The Dirty Dozen.

I'm no expert in musicals, but this song defined the character (Ben Rumson) better than any song in any other musical ever.

Lee had do do this in a whispering sort of voice as thinking under his breath. it was well done, if there was any one movie that I could have been even an extra in, this would have been the one....still love watching it today.,..
