When I heard the can you dig it thing Mitch I thought of WWE as in Booker T and it is can you dig it sucka
ОтветитьI love how often Mitch just low-key suggests "land destruction"
ОтветитьMe: Hears him make a Warriors reference
Me, in a radio hosT voice: "Be looking good, boppers. Real good.*
Snagged this for only a couple bucks more than he listed, good thing I got on it right away. If you wait on buying any of his decks they nearly double in price within a week
ОтветитьNotable upgrade,
Spark Double.
You can create clones of any legendary creature you control including Riku.
Then as long as you have enough Mana, you can easily generate massive amounts of clones.
You forgot my favorite budget Riku win condition: Biovisionary!
ОтветитьI loved this deck tech! Riku has been one of my favorite commanders ever since he was printed way back in 2011.
ОтветитьI CAN dig it! Awesome shout out. Great movie. "Come out and play!"
Ответитьuh, Riku is like $5. I suck at math but I'm not sure that 5 is "well over $10".
ОтветитьMy Riku commander deck has a Young Pyromancer, didn't know of Progenitor Mimic's existence.
ОтветитьI've just got to point out Channeled Force, which becomes an absurd piece of value when copied. If you can discard at least three cards, you're drawing six and killing something significant. If you can discard 5+, you're pretty much set. (Granted, it's better in Kalamax, but I've never been disappointed when I cast it).
Inscription of Abundance is similarly amazing to copy.
Can we get a break the budget on this one?
ОтветитьDang it, Mitch. Why you always making the best budget decks! Yet another deck I need.
ОтветитьAm I the only one who got excited to copy my ramp spells?
ОтветитьIt’s a crime that you’re not running Agent of Treachery
ОтветитьShould have put Biovisionary in the deck imo
ОтветитьSurprised biovisionary not in your list.
ОтветитьI wouldn't cut spitting image, it's a secret weapon when you are left topdecking.
ОтветитьMitch: You shouldn't blow up lands, people don't like that.
Also Mitch: You can bounce lands with it. It's awesome
Hi Mitch! Thanks for your deck techs, they help me out a lot. I was wondering what your opinion is of Wild Growth, I think it is a very underrated ramp card. And Wishclaw Talisman? I really like to make deals and this card usually lets me tutor twice and the manascrewed guy gets his Sol Ring.
Ответитьiv spent a long time brewing riku clones and i have some creature suggestions that are really fun to have multiples of, kalonian hydra is a bomb!, emisary of grudges is sooo fun to have many of, charmbreaker devils for random spell return, assembled alphas for pack savagry, moldgraf monstrosity for random returns, dragonlair spider for increasing infestation, clone shell, nascent metamorph, game keeper, pathrazer of ulamog, cytoplasm, roil elemental, colossal whale is sooo fun to eat everything up, djinn of infinite deceits for swap shenanagins, protean hulk, warward swordtooth, savage ventmaw for many mana, rust scarab
ОтветитьEvery video of a The Warriors reference is a good video!
ОтветитьScute swarm though. With brudiclad oh boy things gonna get interesting. Even without brudiclad you can copy ramp spells. Very likely an overextend but at the same time multiplication is fun.
ОтветитьIs it just me or is the shipping for this deck the same as the cost? When I went on TCG player to buy the deck the price roughly doubled to $85.
ОтветитьOona, Queen Of The Fae "AGGRO"! Challenge issued.
ОтветитьLooks at my set of seven dwarves
ОтветитьWith my Riku deck, I've found that second harvest is insane in a Riku deck, especially when you copy it multiple times.
ОтветитьOops :( I didn't listen and bought the list and was wondering where the commander was lol. Little more waiting won't kill me though
ОтветитьI played this deck for the first time last night and was doing terribly until the very end of the match when I made copies of hirnet queen and had 32 1/1 flying death touches;)
ОтветитьWay to many big spells imo.
ОтветитьThe decks below $50 now with Riku included so its budget again/still.
ОтветитьJust played this against my friend after some practice! I played the card that allows you to cast sorcery/instants from players graveyards! Got to end up copying him like 5 times using sorcerys from my graveyard and won the game. Super fun game
ОтветитьAgent of treachery is missing... :D
ОтветитьDelicious
ОтветитьThanks. Gonna go copy Consecrated Sphynx.
ОтветитьOn a deck tech, you should make the golden card wayfarer's bauble 😂
ОтветитьTrying this out in my play group today! I've played lots of competitive mtg but this will be my first edh deck!!!
ОтветитьHow is meteor Golem not in this deck? With copying it constantly you can get a lot of value out of it.
ОтветитьMy riku deck is already nasty..... Now it will be yucky.
ОтветитьGreat video! I like Elite Archanist. Each time he’s cloned you get a repeatable instant from your hand. Caustic Caterpillar and Siren Stormtamer are great to make copies of as a way to counter spells and destroy artifacts. Great for working around your opponents counter target spell cards.
ОтветитьAh... No biovisionary? It's my favorite win con in my Riku deck! And of course master biomancer! Keep cloning him and things get out of hand fast!
ОтветитьYou missed "radiate"with" from torment. Combos with so much. Mythos of illuna, now I havea copy of everything on the board even lands.
ОтветитьGreat vid Mitch. Question mate, do you think there's a faster Riku deck? A lot of the cards seem heavy on mana cost so wondering if there's a more excelerated version of a Riku deck
ОтветитьHey Mitch, what if you were to use a higher budget (IDK, $200?) and build a decent EDH deck for a given legendary, with the catch being you either use EDHREC's least common archetype for that commander, or one that ISN'T listed for that commander. IDK just a thought for some creativity.
Case in point, I have on Moxfield a fairly powerful (I think maybe a 6/10 for casual EDH) Riku of Two Reflections Landfall deck (if it seems expensive, keep in mind that it is mostly full-art lands, alternate art, Mystical Archives and foils). [Look for "Temur Landfall-Final Version." That is the one.] Without much trying, this deck TERRIFIES my close friend, who builds better (and more expensive) decks than I ever could. It has even won a few games with him.
The scheme of the deck is a powerful landfall/ramp deck that works just fine without Riku; if you can get some more value out of him, have at it. Burn, mill, or mass token wipeout are common strategies for this deck, although it isn't above a Lab Man self-decking win.
I somehow managed to keep it within about $150, even with expensive cards like Aesi, Roil Elemental, and Ancient Greenwarden, and every basic being exclusively full arts (I cracked quite a few ZNR draft boosters :/), and most of the ZNR cards as alt-arts. I also had a TSR Lab Man from earlier deckbuilding.
The point being, think outside the text box a bit. You never know what awesome decks you might make.
So I have the Arcane Maelstrom precon from the 2020 release of commanders, and this is what brought me to Riku. He's so much better, and so cool.
Is it just me who gets overwhelmed by all the possibilities?
Searched “Roku mtg deck tech”, and your video was first! Still glad I’m subbed! Thanks 🤜🤛
ОтветитьYou can get an oversized Riku for less than $10. I paid $2 for mine
ОтветитьImperial recruitor tutor into progenitor mystic 💦
ОтветитьAhhh, I was looking for a win con for my riku deck. But it’s a tribal. I’m really good at busting out a shit ton of wizards that give me counter play and draw advantage. But once I have that established I don’t have a way of actually winning lmao
