Top Nazi scientists were all complicit to the mass murdering of slave labor during this time period at Mittel work/Nordhausen without one ounce of remorse as the US government/Nasa turned a blind eye to their evilness for the rational of cold war advantage! Finally, the truth is being discovered and out in the open!

Funny how historians try to white wash the fact that Von Braun was an active Nazi Member and he knew about the slave workers that build the V-2. Almost as how they try to present Edison as a nice guy (very smart but an oportunistic who stole the film "from the Earth to the Moon" made by Geroge Melie and made a huge profit with it) or Henry Ford who was also a Nazi Simpatizer, or Walt Disne who was a proud racist.

'Mein Fuhrer, we are struggling with resources throughout all our fronts and the army and air force badly need them for existing proven technology. These wonder projects serve little strategic purpose and are tactically useless. At best we should fund either the V-1 or the V-2. Which one do you want?'
'Both!'
It is monumentally ironic that an otherwise idiotic military decision lead to leaps in technology for the rest of the world.

Like it or not, THIS is the beginning of the US space program. Werner Von Braun would not have gotten the US, on the Moon without building NAZI rockets in WW2. Von Braun was the first person to launch a rocket into space with his V2 so technically Germany was first in space.

They should have strapped Wernher Von Braun to the tip of the Saturn 5 and sent it straight to the sun. That would have been a fitting end to his career and he would finally get his wish of reaching space.

I like how they are so careful to not implicate Von Braun. What a load of crap! He was a nazzi ! What did he think all those rockets were being used for? He's just as guilty of murder as any soldier shooting a gun or turning on the gas chamber at a death camp! He was in charge of the program. It's funny how the Americans took those scientists that were useful to beat the ussr! They brought them to America, cleared their records from their sins and and made them rich! I hope he's burning in hell.

Space is so inhospitable, Why would you go some place were a mistake will cost lives, Further the amount of supply is insane. We find a new planet using rockets etc, We pollute all the way. We cannot live there. Fools, we search for life??? we find none what does that tell you! Millions of dollars wasted! Communication, etc use is fine have a crew up and maintain but fly away. Dumb.

Everyone seems to forget Von Braun who is been given some mythical status had an individual he went to and communicated with many many times asking for help and assistance that man is the first man to ever launch a liquid powered rocket.

On March 16, 1926, Robert Goddard successfully launched the first liquid-fueled rocket in Auburn, Mass. The first-of-its-kind rocket reached an altitude of 41 feet, lasted 2 seconds and averaged about 60 miles per hour.

Wehrner von Braun sold his soul three times

1/ Hitler by heading the Nazi Missile Program
2/ The Devil by using concentration camp victims as labour
3/ USA by heading the US Missile Program

Hm ... I wonder which of the three is the most Evil.

The V2 was a great weapon, decisive for victory... alied victory!
If all the time, effort and ressorces put into the V2 program were used to make a lot of fighter planes, it would be much better for the german war campaign. A weapon that don't kill soldiers is totally useless in war.

Bait and switch. In traditional History Channel style, their objective is to talk about prisoners and make the Germans look like the Devil. Lots of emotional music to enhance the effect. Not much new light shed on anything other than the fact that more prisoners were killed by a British bombing raid than any other cause of death.
