Saved me $600 thank you🫶🏻
ОтветитьThis doesn't work if the lock unit has completely failed. Ran a permanent ground to the pink wire off of lock unit
ОтветитьMy man! Thank you! Blessings brothaa!
ОтветитьMy car won’t turn on at all. No lights. Nothing. But everything I’ve been watching makes it seem this is my problem. Jumped it, got lights on and still wouldn’t work. Gonna try this tmr morning when it’s light out. Really hoping this works
ОтветитьWith the car on would it not be simpler just to unplug the steering lock at the cable underneath the steering wheel?
ОтветитьI have this similar issue, it happened to me yesterday but my car doesnt wanna go to acc. It just stays in lock mode. So i cant take out the fuse if the car just stays in acc
ОтветитьSame issue and my wheel also doesn’t lock. I’ve beat the shit out of the box and couldn’t get it to turn on. I ran a wire from the pink wire going into the box and the other end to a ground spot and got the car to turn on. Removed the fuse and then turned off the car but it wouldn’t turn back on. Can’t get the pink wire tap to work again.
ОтветитьAbsolute lifesaver!! Car died in a work carpark….couple of taps with a rubber hammer and we’re good to go! Thank you!
Ответитьsimple and perfect video. 🔥
Ответитьthe key light showed up one morning on my 2014 nismo, so I googled and found this fix, went to the fuse box, the steering lock fuse slot was empty, I figured the previous owner might have already removed it. So, I've try replacing key fob battery, and inserting the key to key slot, light still on. Car starts up fine tho, it's just distracting that key light is constantly on.
Ответитьhad the same problem...try this procedure out, it work thanks you very very much 👍 thank you
ОтветитьHad the same issue and your resolution worked! Thanks for the simple instructions ☺️
ОтветитьThis should work on manual models too right? Mine just did this at work and I’m running back up there with some tools atm
ОтветитьSo i pulled it out, while the care was on. Does it need to be on acc mode to pull the fuse? After the first replacement a few years ago. my key light just came back on. I guess i forgot to pull the fuse that first time.
ОтветитьAmazing video. Thank you so much for the step-by-step.
ОтветитьThank you so much for such a detailed video brother!!! This truly helped.
ОтветитьSo my 370z did this to me too a few days ago and had to get it towed home bc it wouldn’t turn on at all so I seen this video and thought why not i try it out and boom it works goes out of lock mode and then I didn’t start her up I went and pulled out the fuse for the steering wheel lock and then I put everything back and turned her on then off again and on just to make sure and it was good but when I took a drove to my grandmas house I told her I fixed the problem myself and when I was done hanging out I go into the Z and boom back into lock mode
ОтветитьInfiniti FX35 2010 Intelligent Key Light On Ignition Button Stuck On (Have To Disconnect Battery To Turn Off) Somebody Help ??
ОтветитьThank you for such a detail video! This video saved me while waiting for the tow truck and was able to cancel it before arriving and being charge $250 for the tow 😅
I do have some questions regarding the fuse pull. Do I have to replace the fuse?
Or do I just pull the fuse and never replace it so this terrible experience never happens again?
I just done it and it worked tapped it a few times with a hammer and it crank right up. 💪🏾
ОтветитьDude thank you so much
ОтветитьMine has just packed up at my place of work, tried tapping the alluminium box under the steering wheel but it still didn't start. Couldn't even get it to "ACC" mode, completely dead. Had the yellow "No Key" light on dash. Had to get the car recovered to Nissan dealer. Nightmare.
ОтветитьI had this exact problem with a 2009 370 Z. I am not mechanically inclined, but your video and verbal instructions were very clear and easy to follow. My issue has been successfully resolved, and I wanted to say thank you.
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьThis worked for me for awhile but now its back to doing it again. Banging on the lock module worked at first. I think I need to replace the lock module. Anyone know if it can just be swapped with a used one from a junk yard or is this a dealer program type of item only the dealer or a locksmith can program it? I took mine apart but it has 4 microswitches and I still cannot get it to start. Dash lights up but thats it.
ОтветитьThanks a lot, Very Helpful. My steering lock was broken in the unlock position. I took a hammer and tapped it aggressively, maybe five times, then ignition lights came on. Then, with the ignition on ACC, I removed the steering lock fuse. All good !!! Took about 20 minutes.
ОтветитьHammering wouldn't work for me. Is there any other solution?
ОтветитьShould check your vin with the recall list to see if the recall was done by Nissan for the steering lock issue.
ОтветитьShould the key be in the ignition when tapping on the module
ОтветитьFor a sudden while i was working on a firends 370z this issue happened, and your method worked with just few taps on the fuse box beside the battery, thanks brother
Ответитьi’m not sure if this is the same problem i’m having but basically it’s a hit or miss sometimes my car will unlock with the key fob sometimes i have to manually open the door with the key then i get in and sometimes it start with just push to start and sometimes i sit there for minutes putting it in the little fob under the steering wheel and pressing unlock until it finally decides to turn on is this what the problem is or does my problem sound different? btw this has been going on for months now
ОтветитьBroooo your a hero ❤ thanks for the hint with hammer. Will now a hammer in my 370Z 😂 greetings from switzerland 💪
ОтветитьIs it ok to use a metal hammer i dont have a rubber one or should i go buy a rubber one? And do i have to tap it at the same time while hitting it?
ОтветитьThanks for clarifying to unlock the steering lock before removing the fuse. I followed another video and just pulled the fuse. It didn’t work. I will unlock before pulling the fuse this time.
ОтветитьDo u have cashapp or anything? How do we repay u for your time and experience?
ОтветитьCan i just pull the fuse before the issue happens? What do you think?
ОтветитьExcellent video and very informative. I just bought my first 370z. It's a 2010 model and never knew they had this problem. It's a one-owner with 27,500 miles. I just hope and pray I don't have this problem. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьI really appreciate you man. Just had the issue which was exactly the same issue as the video. Couldn’t find any specific or clear information and fixing but again thanks for the video and the explanation.
Ответитьwill this work for Infiniti g37 as well ?
ОтветитьIf I haven’t had a problem yet but want to prevent future problems. Can I just pull the fuse out while in accessory mode and not worry about the hammer? The hammer part is confusing for me
ОтветитьGreat video I'm looking to buy a 2010 370Z would it be a good idea just to remove the fuse before this happens?
ОтветитьAn all in one video and saved me today. You're a legend bro.
ОтветитьThis just happened to me yesterday and your video saved me, however my car starts but still has the key light on but goes away after the car starts, and i just replaced the battery in the fob a week ago and replaced the car battery less than a year ago.
ОтветитьHaving this same issue with my UK 2011 370z. but i think the fuse box placement in the 2011 model are not in the same place...
