With a DAC like the Syba, how does anyone ever get it to work since there are no drivers or software for Windows and a PC won't recognize it?

So the standalone DAC replaces the need to plug in to my mother board with the audio in cable? Cause I think the audio in port on my motherboard is broken 😂😢

What about a Sound Blaster Z sound card? They do have AMP and DAC, can juice up to 600ohm headphones, their software is pretty neat, with great EQ settings and that SBX Pro Studio config, with Surround, Crystalizer and Bass Enhancement. Should I even bother buying a dedicated DAC + AMP for my Sennheiser HD 600, if I already have a Sound Blaster Z on my PC?

Hey! Anyone know what AMP/DAC to get for Audioengine A2+ as desktop speakers? I do not own any speakers, DAC or AMP. But I do like the looks for the Audioengine A2+..

In my opinion, the Magni Amplifier and Modi DAC is the perfect beginner combination. Anything above those are not worth it until you've learned more about the components, about sound, or are getting high-end headphones. Even the cheaper DACs and Amplifiers can push a more expensive pair of headphones, but they can be holding them back. I wouldn't put a HD800S or Focal Clear on that stack, but a Sundara, HD58X, HD650, DT990, they'd go nicely.

This maybe be way outside of your focus but any help would be appreciate. Do you know of a dac that will do arc HDMI to 5.1 rc cables. I want to use my Logitech 5.1 in my small room with my tv. I've been down a rabbit hole just to get the letters DAC. I've been scammed before and the unit just played all channels out each speaker. Thanks 👍👍

If you spend 3500 dollars on an MP3 player, such as a dx320..

You deserve poverty.😂😂😂

I'm new to all this trying to learn. I have a pair of Razer Nommo Pro speakers. They are like the Rolls Royce of the Razer brand as far as speakers go. I also want to purchase a pair of Bluetooth Focal Bathys. I know the headphones already have a DAC inside them. Do I need a DAC/amp for the speakers sake? Can I connect the BT headphones to a BT compatible DAC/amp so everything is connected into one place. If so, any suggestions? I currently have a GSX 1000 and used to have pair of Focal Celestees, but discovered I'm just not a wired guy. Now I'm a bit confused on what to do. I wanna replace the GSX 1000 as well because I purchased it used and there is a weird problem with it where it randomly makes a loud 'thump' sound out of nowhere. The same sound you get when saving settings on it, but in this case it just randomly goes off out of nowhere and scares the shit out of me. I do like have the volume wheel right in front of me though from the GSX 1000. So what equipment would you get if you were in my shoes? Thanks.

BadSeed! Please help! I’m new to the gaming PC scene, I plan on getting the DT 1990 pro, with the HyperX quad cast stand alone mic. I understand I need a amp for the 250ohm headphones, which it’ll probably be the schiit magni 3. Do I need a special amp/dac for the stand alone mic or can I just plug that into my pc??

Hey guys I am quickly falling into the audiophile rabbithole! I have a quick question I would GREATLY appreciate ANY solid advice on. So, I'm totally new to DACs/AMPs; I just bought the Sennheiser PC38x headset and I find them too quiet. Would an amp like this boost the sound significantly?

I love the sound imaging/soundstage I just need MORE VOLUME!!

I know my way around (a little bit) but i just would like a better experience with my sound/mic. I bought an ASTRO A40 back in 2014 and it was a great setup with a little DAC included, which had different features like EQ, chatmixer, etc... Though the PS5 and Series X don't have optical/digital outs anymore so i can't connect them. I can buy a little adapter from ASTRO but the HDMI adapter seems only to support HDMI 2.0 which doesn't do 4K/120 fps.

I do have a 75" Samsung QLED 8K tv which goes up to 144Hz. So i want to take advantage of all those features. I have an older Marantz receiver which need to be updated but that all cost a lot of money as well. So for now, i'm looking for a good solution. I don't have a gaming pc. I just would like to have a good headset/headphone with a mic and a good DAC.

Do you have any suggestions for that? Also for the setup and connections of the cables as my PS5 as well as my Series X only have HDMI/USB-A/C connections.

Love your channel man, i subscribed! 😎

hi,

I currently have the Shure sm7b and the GoXLR combo, I run my headphones into my GoXLR Then GoXLR into my PC, I'm looking to upgrade to the : Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO. (headphones)

Reading online I see that I will need a Dac/amp setup , I'm not very techy and struggle with all this, I was wondering if someone who runs a similar setup, or could give me step by step on how to set this up efficiently with all the hardware or software I might need

I haven't decided on the Dac/amp setup either so if anyone has any recommendations that would be amazing. Anything from £100-200 is my budget.

if anyone could give me some advice or help that would be appreciated

I wish motherboard manufacturers would get hip to the whole external DAC meta and sell at least one version of each chipset generation without a sound stage. Instead, just give us a high quality USB audio passthrough.

I have the Asus ROG Crosshair III motherboard. It has S1220 codec with:
10 DAC channels provide simultaneous 7.1-channel playback, independent 2.0-channel, multiple-stream stereo to front-panel outputs

Which DAC stack would be an upgrade over this?
