Good place never really bought much from Camden market it’s very commercial and as a Indian Hindu I already have my own Hindu stuff. But Camden is a nice place to travel and spend a Sunday. ⚡️🤴🏽🕉🔺➕

Thank you for this quick walk about of Camden Town. I lived in London about 20 years ago in Hampstead and I used to hang out a lot at Camden. I was just wondering what it looked like now. The last time I visited was probably close to 10 yrs ago. It's nice to see that it still has the same vibe!

I visited CT today and honestly my feelings are it's overrated.. difficult to find toilet - sorry but it's true, so crowded so stuffy, people smoke to your face. Might be better in the morning on a working day though..

Nothing really original in the market (food, clothes), there are better options in London and in UK. Prices way above average (two gelatos about 17£), quality - average. Much better choices/quality/price on Borough market and much better walk there too..

Germans are persecuted in the borough of Camden....I am an ethnic German, British citizen, living in London since the year 2000, in Camden since 2008...I am constantly assaulted, burglarised, and called "German pig" since the Brexit...I have also received the sauerkraut in the letter...photos of which are stored by people in UK and Germany....those who persecute me seem to be blissfully unaware of the fact that German embassy is (according to German laws) here in London for all Volksdeutsche, regardless of nationality, in my case British... Dylan Moran said that "Germany is a toilet", "Germans look like pork scratchings", and the "German language is disgusting"...no one accused him of "anti-Germanism" cause there is no such offence in UK...I suppose that it was merely an "anti German sentiment", and British people are obviously allowed to voice their "sentiments".... It is time for the German embassy, OHCHR, the EU Court, and German media to learn that.....P.S. I made a screenshot of this comment and I'll send it to various places in UK and Germany...in case it gets deleted here, and post festum interpreted as "illegal" (unlike Dylan Moran's fully legal speech).

That first 'small' market used to be a fruit/ veg bricabrack market, defo not for the tourist. Those old arch brick buildings were part of the railway. Engine sheds and rail work related. Up the Rd is where the Roundhouse theatre is. The building was the turnstile shed for engines. Back in the '70's great music and top bands played there. My wifes ex was the guy who kept the bar topped up and he showed her the cellers, then used for storage. Tunnels under the building went on miles. He also helped with a few others to build 'Dingwalls' another musiv venue at Camden Lock. No market like today just a small 'flea' market but full of fantastic things, cheap. Now it is an implosion of site sound and money, not like the Sunday implosion of site sound and avaliable for all..That is where they met cos sge slept there with other homeless people. She used to go to Primrose Hill just round the corner (now another up market area) with Bob Calvert writing poetry, some of which was used by Hawkwind when Bob joined them. All at the Roundhouse. Great days. Much of that area was squatted. Brilliant community, health shops, (rice beans and the best smoke ever!) Plus other stuff, video workshops, macrobiotic cafes or not choice was yours. Music, help, great place.

Love Camden Market. Your comment about it raining a lot is annoying. Yes, it can rain in London, but since April 1st there have been 10 days on which it's rained. Thats 10 days out of 52, or 19% and the forecast is for just 2 wet days in the next 14. So its reputation as a rainy city is untrue.

Any Winehouse was a local, she lived a few streets away and bonr n bred north London princess

London doesn't actually rain alot - it gets half the rainfall of NYC, and is oft on par with Melbourne, Tel Aviv, Mexico City etc. Technically in its drought years it can fall into semi-arid classification. However, it is very overcast all the time, the sun is a UFO that sends kids crying inside.

Best of UK to be found outside London, there are so many beautiful places outside the capital.

if your still in london you have to do the london dungeons its a fantastic experience and you learn a lot if you do not know the horrible history side of london look online and tickets will be cheeper

You didn't reply yet, to my 'suggestions' for places to eat near you... in the comments section about the cost of 'Poppies' (fish & chips) being so expensive !? If you are staying near Hanger Lane (?), you really should try a 'full English' to set you up for the day - before getting on the Tube. LOL
