Dice rolls are broken. Get stuck in long streaks of rolling no higher than a 5. Kills the game fast. All the hype was garbage. With all the issues it’s below average at best. Not that the game is garbage but they had a great promotion team.

Doesn't the haste helmet cancel the bracers? Their condition is that you're unarmored and the helmet counts as a light armor.

Since you are already counting on the Elixir of Giant Strength for setting your Strength to 21, it would be better to instead allocate the +1 stat point from Tavern Brawler in constitution. You can even reespec at this point to set you constitution to an odd number so that the +1 bonus from tavern brawler makes it even and grants you additional bonuses.

Making a strength based tavern brawler with base strength 8 or dumping other stats when you get certain items conflicts too much with my sense of role playing. It’s less powerful but I prefer no respeccing of stats since it doesn’t make sense from a role play perspective.

Nah. Max wisdom using Ethel’s, ASI and mirror of loss and then keep using strength elixirs and late game use cloud giant strength elixirs. Str should always be dumped - game gives too many free max str options. Wisdom is great for saving throws, unarmorwd defence, your rad/necr/paychic damage modifier and with act 3 boots - wisdom gets added to your unarmed attacks on top of your cloud giant (27 str) which is actually a modifier using 26 str which is the max str stat u can get in game. There is an argument for using the perma +2 str flask for pimpin out astarion, Asi and mirror to get to 24 str and then using bloodthirsty elixir - but wisdom too juicy defensively to give up

Great video, I liked the focus on early game. High level consider 5 levels of clerics for sprit guardians it’s a fun option for utility and theif is too overdone at this point

I don't get why people go for the bracers of defense over the sparking gauntlets. Especially if you start as half elf your AC should be fine via light armor and shield proficiency. No reason not to get yourself lightning charges and advantage to hit the guys with metal armor (the guys you tend to need more help hitting anyway.

Using the Haste Helm will nullify the Bracers of Defense and your Unarmored Defense, fyi.

Isn't the haste helm light armor? I think if you equip that alongside the bracers of defense you'll nullify the effect of the bracers, so you'll need to decide which you prefer.

I appreciate that you showed WHERE the gear was, instead of simply saying 'after you pick up X'. Some of us don't follow every video and have all the gear locations memorized!

You don't need to long rest to reset vendor inventory. The easiest way to do it is to respec a character with withers. Every level up anyone does resets merchant inventories.

I also highly recommend starting with 17 wisdom, 16 dex, and getting hag hair for 18 wisdom. You're going to want high wisdom no matter what build you do on a Monk because it boosts your save DCs, including topple and stunning strike which are incredible.

I combined The Watersparkers, The Sparkle Hands, and The Sparkswall. To create a monk that constantly charges lightning charges and AoE lighting DoT that's immune to lightning damage. All items in act 1. Added The Protecty Sparkswall for some defensive flavor.

Command doesnt work on the demon anymore.

Gith monk could be interesting too just because of the Gith Jump ability to traverse the battlefield easier.

One important thing for these builds is that it doesn't cost an action to unequip a weapon, so you can walk around with whatever you want in your mainhand and only unequip it when you need the regular mainhand unarmed attack some time in combat.

LOVE IT, the little things like the intro, the map work, its a specific style and its so good.
