I wish the music was turned down a bit so I could here what he said
ОтветитьSeen them twice live👍👍👍👍one of the best bands ever!.....rip all who have passed on!....you leave us with everlasting joy......This world is all a fleeting show!.for man's illusion given.👍👍👍 AMEN....
ОтветитьSaw them at The Hollywood Bowl a few years ago. YES, MB, ELP, my kind of music.
Thanks guys for all the thought inspiring soundtrack to a generation... and beyond!
What a shame we have lost Graeme , his poetry on moodies albums added a bit of class & was totally unique to anything else . A shame no British radio or tv station mentioned his passing ,shame on you all . .At least we saw them 14 times . Thank you for the music Graeme .
ОтветитьA good friend shared the moody blues with me in the 70,s a favorite ever since!
ОтветитьAfter Mike Pinder left the band the Moodies were terrific. With Pinder... magical.
Ответить"As new life will come from death...."
ОтветитьRIP, Mr. Edge. Your music will NEVER die!
ОтветитьIf and when the Moody Blues are no more, the magic of music will be gone. Thanks for the many years Ray. You are now where spirits have flown.
ОтветитьJustin is out in Monaco. Thinking is the best way to travel .
ОтветитьI was just thinking of him, yesterday! I always believed that Keith Moon was the greatest rock drummer of all time. However, I had totally overlooked the fabulous drumming of Graeme Edge probably because he lacked the flamboyance of my teenage idol, Moon. But, as a lifetime fan of the Mike Pinder, Ray Thomas, Graeme Edge, Justin Hayward, and John Lodge era Moodies, ("Every Good Boy Deserves Favour" being my favorite 'all-time album') I began enjoying their music 'anew' as I have several times in 55 years, and I have come to the unshakeable conclusion that Graeme was pound for pound the 'rock solid best drummer' bar none! Rest in Peace, Graeme! You are the BEST!
ОтветитьThe Moody Blues has been my favorite band since the 60's. I have been to so many concerts I can't count them all. The last concert I was at was their 50th year anniversary concert in New Oreans, LA. It was great. Justin Hayward was the HEART of the band, John Lodge was the PERSONALITY of the band and GRAHAM EDGE was the VOICE of the band. RIP Graham you will surly be missed.
ОтветитьWhen asked about future reunion tours a band spokesman rejected the idea.
"We've simply lost our Edge", he said sadly
Oh no! “down down down is the mood I’m in”.....from Graeme’s solo album Paradise Ballroom, gonna have to break out the vinyl in tribute.
ОтветитьAnother legend gone. Real music is fast becoming extinct. So glad for all the posterity. Very sad to see this sweet guy gone. He should, as all Moodys, be remembered fondly always.
ОтветитьGreat drummer ! Very sad ! Have seen The Moody Blues in concert, what a great experience. One of the best bands ever !
ОтветитьOne of the greatest music groups of our age. Such a broad range of instrumentals, superior vocals, dramatic and lyrical content. Many times backed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Personally a favorite of mine. So sorry to hear of Graeme Edge's death. 'Will pray for the loved ones he has left behind---that they seek the solace, peace, and comfort from the merciful Lord.
ОтветитьWe are not hear forever but what we do and how we do it stay and my time I hope will last as his did so Rest In Peace my brother Rest.
ОтветитьThank You for your amazing timeless art in the form of muzik. Love you guys…!
ОтветитьGraeme E. Love All U Did For Music. Rock Hall 100%. Cleveland, Ohio

ОтветитьMay what gods there are keep him and love him.
ОтветитьRip a legend 🙏🙏🙏
ОтветитьAnd then there were two! My wife and I went to see them a couple of times before Charlie passed and all four were playing. Great shows! RIP Graeme!
ОтветитьI am so sad to hear of Graeme, s passing, at my age of 70 now, it leaves me empty inside, I will always love him and the Moody Blues
ОтветитьVery sad news the passing of Graeme Edge up there with the best drummers ever God Bless Graeme RIP a member of the Best Band ever Condolences to Graemes family Love Nutty Nige xx
ОтветитьWouldn't it be beyond epically great if somehow, someday, some WAY....we could all say, "Lovely to see you, again, my Friend!" - What a band!
ОтветитьSo sad to hear the passing of Graeme , he gave his all for the band and the fans who like Ray Thomas will be missed for the music but we can still play the music in their memories. :(
ОтветитьDidn't see this till now. Perhaps now I know why I suddenly imagined him playing electronic drums for the first time, for no apparent reason, a couple of weeks ago.
Well hopefully he is reunited with Ray.
I was introduced to these guys in the early 70s when my older brothers would play their records or radio. And I listened to them through the 80s and 90s. Love their music! Play on in heaven Graeme! Play on....
ОтветитьA sad loss, as was Ray. The timeless Moody Blues. Couple of things. Graeme was born in Rocester (Rooster) in Staffordshire and not Rochester, 'Stratfordshire'. No such place as Stratfordshire. Rochester is in Kent.
ОтветитьOh...so sorry to hear this.he will be missed! Great drummer!
Ответить1969 I heard the song ‘ride my see saw’ went out and bought the album “ in search of the lost chord”was my first knowledge of the Moody Blues .Never expected that in 1975 I would meet Graeme ,wife Sue ,crew Nikki,Chris of his yacht Delia met in a pub in Gibraltar . I and 2 other Aussies were certified sailors sailing our small sloop across the Atlantic and then on to Australia ,Graeme and his crew sought our advice for the trip ahead via the Canary Islands and to the Caribbean, we sailed in tandem thereafter 2 boats on the same schedule many a good time was had at various islands ,Trinidad carnival and Graeme unsuccessfully trying to play a steel drum ! Fort de France Martinique ,Graeme successfully standing up to a local bully .Antigua wild times at the sailing week April 76 ,inc. walking the greasy pole! .And many more memorable events..then our boats went separate ways . But caught up with Graeme again in LA in 77 and twice in the 80’s when the Moodies toured Australia ,where I met the rest of the band, Ray Thomas telling me he had a small sailboat in Yarmouth ,Isle of Wight.. RIP Ray ...When you sail many months with someone overcoming many obstacles ,enjoying good times, you really get to understand a persons true character ... Graeme was a champion all round good mate ,my time sailing with him and his crew was the best time of my life .. Graeme RIP. “I know you’re out there somewhere”.
ОтветитьMy first LP ... Question of balance ..... always have been and always will be one of my favorite bands
ОтветитьGraeme was also smart as a whip and witty.
ОтветитьRIP... The Moody Blues music is timeless And will live forever to be enjoyed by future generations..
ОтветитьSometime in the 1980s I walked into the King's Head in Santa Monica to find an English buddy of mine standing near the bar talking to some bearded grey-haired bloke I didn't know from Adam. When my buddy went to the bar to order us pints, the older gentleman struck up a conversation with me asking what I did for a living. I told him and when I asked what he did he said, "I play in a rock and roll band". Really? I thought. This old coot? I conjured up a thick dose of sarcasm and said, "Oh...anybody I might have heard about?" He just looked at me and replied, "I don't know. Have you ever heard of the Moody Blues?" Despite being a complete idiot at that moment, I love remembering it. Graeme took this in stride, and I discovered he was a pretty swell fellow. God bless him.
Ответить☮☮☮☮
Ответитьthat music in the background was obnoxious!!!!!
ОтветитьGreat guys music love it
ОтветитьGraeme’s involvement in building the first electronic drum has made modern music possible.
ОтветитьRIP para o melhor baterista e percussionista da história da música .
ОтветитьMet him about 12 years ago and was one of his FB friends,.or as Graeme called us 'rascals." he and the band left us a great legacy of music.
ОтветитьThanks for the info. Have loved this brilliant band for 50 years. RIP lovely Graeme.
ОтветитьGraham Edge was an amazing drummer and poet. His music will be missed. I am so thankful to still be listening to the Moodies recordings.
ОтветитьRIP my friend
