Jen Landon is such a good actress. Playing Teeter must be pure fun after doing dramatic roles.

As soon as I heard step father at the beginning of the video, I knew exactly where they were going with this, but I was not expecting this ending.

Male doctors are after all still men! Who are still strangers. Would you allow your child to be left alone with a stranger??? INSIST to be in the room at all times with your child; or get a female doctor or female nurse 👩🏽‍⚕️

I didnt get any gross feelings from the stepdad. (I get a gross feeling sometimes when i feel like someone will not end up nice. I don't know why but sometimes when someone starts talking in shows i can guess if they are a bad person. I didnt feel that with him abusive parents/villians in cartoons mostly)

This is a great example of how this should be handled. Mom didn’t ignore the possibilities and step dad didn’t get defensive and lash out.

For anyone who is wondering about how this will effect the girl's growth, sometimes it's the better option to wait. I was SA'd at 5 and I always thought it was a just a bad dream, until I was able to fully comphrend everything. I asked my parents when I was 16 if it really happened, and they never supressed the memory and told me it didn't happen growing up. Since I really thought it was a dream, I never asked about it. They were honest with me straight away. I had a feeling a very certain and important discussion was going to happen soon because they were worried I might be showing signs of remembering. It was still difficult to recover, but if I had to deal with that at such a young age I honestly don't know if I'd be here right now. One of the things that actually gave me a sense of releaf was realizing it didn't happen yesterday but over 10 years ago. It wasn't as fresh to me, and if I found out younger it would have been much harder for me to recover. I get why some people disagree, but the tramua will be adressed at the right point. Adressing trauma too early can make it more severe depending on the person. If it's not exasperated or added onto, there's not much concern in it getting worse if they wait a few more years to discuss it. Some parents truly know what's best for their kids and some don't. In this case, it would probably be best to tell her when she decides to become sexually active or when her brain is more developed.

when I was a child my mom was in denial that it was my step dad my sister and I had to show her proof he was a sick0 before she believed us. When she came to terms with it he was arrested and put in prison but the fact she called her daughters liars first. It still bothers me till this day I was only 8 years old my sister was 13. Mom's need to advocate for their children and not always assume their husband couldn't possibly do something like that.

Signs of an excellent dad and husband:

A: Saw his stepdaughter was not okay and quickly rushed her to the hospital.

B: Was absolutely horrified when he found out why his kid was sick and the implications that it meant.

C: Wasn't upset when his wife accused him and completely understood how he would be a suspect, but fought hard to show his innocence.

D: Offered to undergo tight screening and multiple tests to prove it wasn't him.

E: Tried to comfort and consol his distressed wife even though she was suspecting him and ghosting him because of it, yet still didn't get upset or angry with her.

F: Visibly shaking with rage the moment he finds out who laid hands on his little girl. Give him five minutes alone with that so called "dentist" and he'll set him straight!

Lady, as a guy with a male family member who has the emotional range of a light switch, never let this one get away from you. A guy that understanding and sensitive is about as rare as finding platinum in a coal mine!

So, no experts consulting on the show huh? Guilty people bluff those offers in almost every interrogation you watch 😆

I was a victim of SA. I was about 7 or 8 when it happened. I was fully aware. I feel it did change me. The world seemed like a scary place. I became much more introverted. I didn’t tell anyone about it except my older brother. Once I turned 9, I saw this man throw my younger brother who was only 4 over this wall right in front of me. I didn’t know what to do, I was in shock. My brother didn’t cry or make any noise so it made me believe he was unconscious from his fall. The man then jumped over the wall himself and I couldn’t see what he was doing but he was back there for some time. I don’t recall what happened after. It was all a blur. My younger brother started acting up after that. Once again I didn’t tell anyone. I think my brain tried to block it out. I was already a victim of sa but I didn’t know if my brother was too at that point. As adults, I asked my brother if he recalled what happened that day but he said he doesn’t recall anything he experienced under the age of 4. I can recall some things at that age and younger but he doesn’t remember anything. I believe something happened to him that day. At least I was conscious when it happened to me because I can at least do something about it but I think it’s much harder to do anything about an event that occurred which you don’t recall and is deep in your subconscious. I believe that trauma is affecting him til this day but he isn’t aware. He’s a drinker. I try to encourage him to seek therapy.

Any dentist/oral surgeon that refuses to let you stay in the room with them should never be trusted. I had my wisdom teeth removed and my wife (girlfriend at the time) was right there with me. When giving birth to our son I was in the room the whole time. There is no reason why you can’t be in the room for a dental procedure. Either insist that you are staying or go to a different dentist. Too easy for creeps to get away with this stuff.

I keep watching these clips mesmerized. Is it really like this? Do they run so many tests and CScans and other Xrays?
I live in Eastern Europe and although we have good doctors, we barely get EEcs and blood tests in the ER. It takes a long time to have Xrays and other scans.

Found out recently that my orthodontist as a young teen was a child predator. He even went after kids my age. Luckily he never went this far, and I was one of the least attractive girls he had as patients. Never noticed anything, but Im so glad my best friends family (who were three girls that went to him as well) were never a part of it. Made me think of this right away.
