100 COWS OUT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 6 MONTHS! THEY ARE SO HAPPY!

I suddenly remember that both my mum and dad had farmer cousins, and during the spring holidays, we would go there and I used to lead their cows to the fields through the village when I was 8, driving the old tractor, going for the eggs, the buttery smell of the milk room, the cathedral of straw. Decades later, they are all dead, farms are gone and I am working all day in front of the limited horizon of my PC screen. What happened to me?....

Why would you keep them in for 6 months? They are out in Montana, U.S. In winter.

I used to live in Stroud, England. Every year the cattle come out to roam freely around the Commons. It has the only golf course in England where cows are allowed to graze and lounge on the greens! Seeing the young ones following one another in long lines is amazing, it's England's little Serengeti. They climb around the steep slopes and through trees, like huge goats. It makes you realise that once Britain was forested, with forest Cattle. (Aurochs).
