I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw the video title I was VERY skeptical about the actual point of these journals. Like...just use a blank notebook, or ravelry, But after watching, I admit they're pretty cool if you want a preset layout. I'm probably always gonna be a plain paper and pen kinda person but I can see why people would buy these.
ОтветитьTwice Sheared Sheep has a nice journal that I received for Christmas. I like the project detail pages.
ОтветитьThank you, Natalie! As a pen and paper journaler myself, I feel that your approach to each one of these journal/planners is fair and helpfu! I enjoyed seeing in depth the overall layouts each one offers! I had seen a couple of them and was wondering about them!
ОтветитьI love being able to see each journal and make my decision. I have always used a knitting journal and to be honest have tried many and haven’t found my favorite yet. I designed my own last year but it’s a lot of work.
I might have to do it again next year.
Thanks for the great review. 💖
Love love this! I want to be more intentional with my knitting this year and have a lot of goals. This is helpful to find the right journal to help!
ОтветитьI love the My Year in Yarn one! Does anyone know when it will be back in stock / available in Canada ?
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing!!! I have more products coming out in the spring! Would love to get them in your hands! :) Talk soon!
ОтветитьI love My Year in Yarn 2025. It seems to be out of stock everywhere. Does anyone know where to buy a copy?
ОтветитьI received the Knitter’s Almanac for Christmas and I am really enjoying using it. The my year in yarn journal looks good too. This is a really good video Natalie. Thanks for taking the time to film it. 👍
ОтветитьBOOOO my year in yarn is sold out.
ОтветитьThis was so helpful! I'm totally going to ponder the Knitter's Almanac for this year. I have some concrete goals and I'm struggling to track them (currently using a Notion Template, but filling in all the databases is a pain). I've heard of the Stitchers Almanac, but never knew she had a knitting one too!
ОтветитьI’ve been waiting for this one! I thought I would do a bullet journal for the first time and that was a mistake. I do not have the time to knit and create one. So this was perfect to find my perfect journal!
ОтветитьDoes anyone know how to contact her? Maybe if there is enough of us she will print more my Year in Yarn
ОтветитьYou did a terrific job showing and explaining these. So helpful!
ОтветитьI have been wanting a journal for awhile but not sure if I would like them internally, this has really helped, thank you.
ОтветитьThis was really awesome! Thank you. I look forward to your budget video!
ОтветитьHappy New Year, from Swansea, Illinois.🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьI’m using the Knitters Year. I picked it because I also needed a datebook. I do love it but don’t like that the events are in the daily columns where I need to schedule. I wish they were in the notes column on the right. I’m going to have to cover them up for my schedule. I do like that I am tracking my knitting/crocheting projects better this year!
ОтветитьA blank page book is adequate for me. As a record of what worked out best, what you enjoyed. Rough yarn amounts/patterns if you used them.
Favourite websites 🩷🫶🧶☺️📝✨
Thanks so much for sharing the Yarn Enthusiast Journal, Natalie! There is also an Undated version on my website in case folks are not interested in the yearly pages at the front and just want to write in the months they are tracking :)
ОтветитьThank you so much for the review. Would love my year in yarn.
It appears to be out but will explore the others ❤
I purchased the Laine journal because I could use it as a regular calendar plus I really loved the fact that it had that extensive events calendar. I am notoriously terrible with writing down anything about my knitting, but I’m trying to turn over a new leaf since I’m retiring from my full-time job and will have plenty of time to be more organized. I’m going to guess you will pick the one with the light blue color.😊
ОтветитьI was learning how to knit last year by my former respite worker. But I don't have the knitting needles and yarn I was using to knit I just manly loom knit and crochet now but I want to get a set of circle knitting needles so that I don't loose my work off the needle
ОтветитьI don't know what the closest is either for knitting cause I manly crochet and loom knit but I think it's for your WIPs, yarn stash,Yarn scraps, needles, hooks and other supplies that you have for knitting and crochet and loom knitting but that's what I would use it for
ОтветитьI am notoriously bad at keeping a diary or journal going throughout the year but you described these journals so very well, it has made me rethink my year! I think I might get one and really try to get my crafting more organized! Thank you so much x
ОтветитьOh wow I didn’t think I needed or wanted a knitting journal until seeing the one by Knit California it’s exactly what I want and need so I just ordered it and I’m so excited 😆
ОтветитьI am waiting to get my first Maker’s journal in the mail. Excited to have my year more organized and to put it at the end in my library. I think it would be so nice to look back at all of these journals and see what we got to work on ❤
ОтветитьI purchased ‘Great Work! A maker’s journal’ on Amazon. It has loads of space bullet journal style project pages, loads of size charts for measurements etc.
ОтветитьI love seeing how other people track their crafts. I've used The Happy Planner for years. The pages are removable so you can customize it and still keep everything together. I use Ravelry for most of this stuff like WIP tracking and stash, but there are definitely ideas here that could enhance my goal tracking. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьMy favourite knitting journal is Martina Behm's Strickplaner. She started producing it without daily calendar pages, which is great for people like me who rarely write in the day-to-day section. Instead, it has extra project pages. It does have a section where you can write in a year long schedule. I love it!
ОтветитьI just use Day One. It's a digital journal. Down side, I can't add physical items, but I can print it off and add those physical items later.
ОтветитьI think knowing the prices would have been very helpful, or even a rough comparison.
