About a week later the 9/11 attacks... so weird how this game seems to be much older than the attacks, at least to me.

If someone like Andre Agassi loses after committing only 17 unforced errors in 48 games and four tie breaks, you know you he must have lost to a legend.

107 mph kicker out wide on the duece court? First 2 min of match. Sorry pat. Kickers don't keep sliding out of the court on the duece side for a right hander. Mabey he meant to say slider.

Constantly complaining about the game too fast and want to watch baseline ralies totally destroyed Tennis. So much so that the so called GOAT cannot volley or hit a simple smash. Shame really.

For US Open matches this one is up there, but I put the Federer vs Del Potro final and the Nadal vs Medvedev final ahead of this just because it went 5 sets. Had that Sampras and Agassi match went to set 5 it would have been the best US Open match ever.

Today’s game players like Nadal and Medvedev are standing way back to receive serve, near the line judges , to neutralize the big serve. With advanced rackets they can return from that far back.

Those times.. when the strings were compulsively adjusted every point, the ballboys throwing balls trought air, giving the towel to the player and after reciving it back they let it laying in the floor. Sampras backhand is beatiful, and he loved going to the net, elegant and powerfull. Agassi is frenetic in all of his movements, at some moments it looks like the video is in a higher speed, thats actitud took him to have a very agresive and speedy kind of playing. Those were the days my friend.

None of these two would stay on their feet after just one set against Novak, Nadal, etc..

I enjoyed watching tennis since 1974 to today. I must say this Edberg, Becker, Sampras was the most boring era of tennis, despite how great these guys were. The match basically a serve and 1 or 2 strokes and the point was over. I enjoyed seeing Connors, Borg and McEnroe, then lost interest in the era of Becker, Edberg, Sampras. Then I resumed watching the game when Federer, Nadal and Djokovic made the scene, tennis became interesting again.
