Nice video, I just realised it's quite a few years ago now this video was made.. Most corrugated track I've ever been on was the border track Victoria South Australia. So straight but bumpy. Never ending. And UHF, camping with mates years ago, on the backwaters of the Murray River. 9pm my mate and I went searching for wood down a few dirt tracks. But could not find the campsite on our return. Took us till 1am. Funny thing our new car has no USB radio. It costs so much now, to build up a brand new 4wd. My wife keeps going off about what it all costs. Lift, front bar, all terrain tires, rims, suspension improvements. Even recovery points never ending. It's our first brand new car, and when we eventually get a UHF, I want it professionally done. No wires, radio under the dash etc. receiver on a magnetic hook that plugs in when you want it and put away when not in use. You know another funny thing. This car doesn't even have a CD player. It's good for Spotify if you have Wi-Fi range. Haha.

Got stuck in a 1999 2500 Chevy suburban with 454 leveling kit and 35. Driving up a slick slope with a washout down the middle lost traction couldn’t move forward anymore attempted to back down but nothing was avoiding sliding right into the washout. Instantly stuck on both diffs chain and a Toyota wouldn’t budge it finally after 24hours a 2005 Chevy 1500 stock 4wd was able to pull me out in low at the right angle

I have got a Toyota Hilux Sr5 2023. Currently working on it and just had some modes done. Still missing the bash plates. I thought I wouldn’t need them but afyer watching your video I can say it’s a must have mode in you rig. BTW I am running the same Formula suspension on my car as I can see it working well with modern IFS vehicles.

I need some fresh bash plates for my brand new hilux

I had just picked up a new work 100 series wagon - as in picked up day before (a Government DX), was up at an outstation, and it poured rain... the winch was not wired in right. It came straight out of the workshop. I got an call to an urgent job, the creeks were up, I had the station manager jump in with me... first creek crossing hit quicksand, drive forward bog in, reverse, crawled out, multiple times... directed down the creek to an alternate crossing... found winch would not work, during first bogging! Anyway, got back to station, and A. Checked tyre pressures... front tyres were at 65PSI, rears at 35PSI (was not happy). B. Power wire had NOT been wired into battery.
Learnt a few things that day (including don't trust the mechanics who had checked it over!).

My trick is to apply trail mods with vehicles in the full-size class like the Ford Super-Duty F250 or F350 (new or used), especially the older diesel models prior to emissions on them which plugged their power outputs up. Although the durable big petrol V8 engine or older V10 made for good off-road torque with hauling grace, too. Being over 6 feet tall,I like my full-size trucks better over smaller double-cab rigs due to leg room constraints, as well as headroom.

Tough tracks I have done are Janowen Hills, Goomburra and Sundown National park. Been to Fraser Island, Rainbow beach and Bribie Island multiple times.
I got a Pajero Sport QF and installed PIAK loop bullbar, Rhino roof rack full size and Hayman Rees towbar.
Next in line is Custome Offroad underbody protection, STEDI spotties, Winch, 2 inch Suspension lift, GME XRS 370 UHF, then larger tyres.
I would love to go with fulcrum but they don't have a lift kit for Pajero Sport QF.
It will be great if I could win the CustomOffroad underbody protection :) (I know the promotion would have closed by now)
