Probably doesn’t help there’s an embargo on Iranian goods in the US either
ОтветитьWhy would an oil producing country pay their hard working artisans peanuts? Things do not add up.
ОтветитьBless Persia,Uniquely Carpets
ОтветитьThey are not Persian rugs. They are Persian CARPETS.
ОтветитьCheaper to fly there and buy it then to buy it from a resalresaler here
ОтветитьIf they want the women to do the hard work, they have to pay them more. Simple as. It sounds as if it's sad that girls no longer want backaches and other problems for virtually no pay. I say, good on them. You want carpets, pay them the most.
ОтветитьBe sure to watch this video. The name of the video is Iranian carpets in the White House. How to make Iranian carpets
ОтветитьI’m so grateful for my artisan(s) that made my newly purchased rug. My boyfriend bought me my first Persian rug and I’m just so in love with it every time I come into my room
ОтветитьOur bags are inspired by these carpets❤ check them out, we’re currently having a summer sale of up to 40% off and free shipping 😊
ОтветитьDoes anyone know how to get in touch with this guy or these artisans? would like to help
ОтветитьCalling them Persian is a misnomer, they initially were built in central Asian countries of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan. And in the last few centuries they are made in China and India.
ОтветитьMaybe don't blame the young generation, who rightfully doesn't want to ruin its health, but a fragile economic system with many problems. it puts these carpet weavers in the position that they have to ruin their health in the first place
ОтветитьThere are always those that feed from the blood of others.
If l were ever able to buy just one of these l would buy from those that made it, and pay the price that it would have been sold for in the city's of America.
They are indeed treasures more precious than gold.
Because gold is made by nature.
These carpets are made by nature, human hands and imagination, and grown by animals.
So you have the three elements that are required for peace, harmony, sustenance and continuous culture.
If the world had mutual respect between all living things there would be utopia.
I am a descendent of the Nuenonne people of Lunawanna Allonha, Lutruwita.
I'm sure the process could be automated by a machine with even more intricate designs.
ОтветитьHm. Strange. The workers are getting paid the least so nobody wants to do it anymore and in 15 years there will be nobody. It’s not like there is something very obvious to do about it 🙄
ОтветитьGeez, just by reading the comments it makes you wonder if you watched some sort of a funeral. This was an upbeat video, they promoted their art nicely and gracefully. They also appreciate that people spend their hard earned money, not everyone who buys a hand made rug is a tycoon, and buy their products and give the weavers an income. This is how social mobility works. Do you think that Europe did not have weavers? Or master masons? Or extremely skilled people in all sort of back breaking crafts? Have you ever wondered how much effort did it take to forge the sword you see in a museum? All these crafts (and arts)... gone. Not needed anymore. As social mobility strengthens and Iran transitions its agricultural parts of the economy to industrial or services oriented, inevitably the hand made rugs will be gone too. Only few will get produced for those that want them and can afford them.
ОтветитьI love traditions but why continue the hard work when a machine can assure the same results
ОтветитьActually persian carpet is pretty underpaid Beacuse of lack of branding how is it that a hermes berkin worths 300000 dollars and a carpet that takes years to be weaven worths 10000 dollars
ОтветитьI love your rugs you have a lot of patience
ОтветитьAm I the only one who is pissed off at the Carpet Producer who is wearing luxury clothes, I feel like he treats these artists as slave workers.
ОтветитьWhile watching the old and new videos of insider business, I can tell the new videos has much more impact and it builds faith in the mind and heart of viewer like me regarding the authenticity of content and information and the narration has also changed with time. That's a good growth team. I appreciate this. 👌🙏
ОтветитьPartynextdoor made me come here
ОтветитьI never get why it's the ones doing all the work who get paid the least.
ОтветитьAs usual the middle men make most of the profits.
ОтветитьI wonder if these women get paid well for these 10,000 carpet?
ОтветитьPersian rugs come from Persia. In other words, water is wet. 😂😂
ОтветитьJapan seems to be the only place where traditional artistes making masterpiece works rightfully earn from their hard labor, other parts of the world is pure exploitation by middle men
Ответить💞❤️💞🙏 अंबज्ञ श्रीराम नाथ संविध नाथ संविध नाथ संविध नाथ संविध 🙏
ОтветитьExplore Golgumbaz
Ответитьas usual the person with the skill and actually doing the work gets the least out of the deal.
Ответитьi want a keyshon imperial rug
ОтветитьI can see how people take advantage of these women. I own two large Persian rugs, they are amazing and very unusual but I don’t think people should suffer for my amusement, these wavers should ear most of the profit but it isn’t the case. I’m glad they are running out of people to exploit.
Ответитьfor anyone investing in persian rugs buy NAIN rugs they're said to be the best
Ответитьwhat if you make a mistake ?? ? how do you go back and fix?
Ответитьwhat a waste of time.. good thing machines exist
ОтветитьDo you needed indan carpets all types.
ОтветитьIt is kind of modern day slavery - the weavers being the least profitable
ОтветитьThe whole comment section just shows how ignorant people are about basic economics. The middlemen literally have to deal with western sanctions and export laws from the west. That's why the end product is expensive. And why middlemen has bigger cut. Cause he literally has to jump through sanctions and western export laws. You think the middleman will eat the cost of that? And let me remind you fools one more time that iran is literally sanctioned by the west. Want to do something about the high price? Lobby your gov to remove the sanctions on Iran.
ОтветитьI hope its get extinct if female or any worker that involved doesn't get fair wages or anything in sustainable & prosperity way of work ethics
ОтветитьI thought tufting was hard, then i saw this
ОтветитьWhy can I buy one or two of these beautiful rugs directly from the people who make them it only fair they have the fee
ОтветитьRemove the worthless leachers middlemen and pay the weavers or your business will eventually end
ОтветитьThe women do all the work, yet it's males who talk about the process?!?!? Oh forget you. I'm not watching this whole vodeo.
ОтветитьAre the wool still tradionally dyed using vegetable dyed?
Ответитьvery informative video but please use a pop filter i am begging you
ОтветитьI'm a weaver, I know this traditional skill and I love what I do but the physical cost is almost not worth what people are willing to pay me as the artist.
ОтветитьI hope they don’t loose this hopefully when they are older they will see the importance of this beautiful tradition
ОтветитьMy grandpa just gave me a massive Persian rug from my great great grandma in the 1920’s. I had it washed and asked professionals how much it’s worth. Because it’s authentic, about 35k. W
ОтветитьMy grandmother, may God bless her soul and give her heaven, used to make turkish carpets called kelim at home. I always was so fascinated by all of the different samples she would make and of the end results. She showed me how to do it and also how to do crocheting and knitting. Will miss her forever. Now thanks to her, I do my own scarfs, hats, winter clothes and also started to do pillows and definitely would love to try to do a kelim.
