In June 2024, I made a two day trip up to New York state to shoot operations on the Livonia, Avon and Lakeville Railroad and the Bath & Hammondsport Railroad. While theres currently no talks of getting new power, seeing the changes happening on the WNY&P one can imagine it'll happen to these two railroads as well. On day one, I focused on the LA&L and caught the ADM switcher working on the south end of their line with former Long Island Railroad 420 before chasing their road freight with two other alco products from Lakeville to Rochester (Genesee Junction). On day two I focused on the B&H which unfortunately did not go as smooth as the day prior. After running lite to get their inbound freight from NS, they rearranged the power to be nose to nose after working Coopers Plains. Then after a lengthly shift at Savona and a setoff at Bath, they ran lite power up to Cohocton to swap out the 424 for 422, and then would return south.
