This review sucks😂 if you played the game you can tell the video was hecka rushed. The gameplay looks like they got it all from one session and they obviously didnt play it much because they werent doing the ki pulse which recovers stamina faster; something someone who hasnt thoroughly played would be doing. They also didnt show the skill trees; talk about different weapons and armors; the forge; side stuff to do. The later levels are huge with a ton of variety but they only showed beginning gameplay. This video is lame compared to the game and doesnt do the game justice. Its extremely fun and I would say harder than dark souls

Nioh feels like a combination of dark souls and ghost of tsushima, and the protagonist looks like a combination of geralt of rivia and edward kenway

Here we are 6 years later and I'd say the game stood up better than anyone would have originally guessed as we've got not only nioh 2. But we have other games clearly inspired more by its formula than the traditional fromsoft formula. Namely ghost of Tsushima well not being a souls game it's still took inspiration from the four stance system, and now wo long

this is the total opposite of Soulsborne not Clunky and slow game play this is fast and strategic approach its like rogue like game play.

I got nioh and nioh 2 for £10 so even if I don’t like it. It will still be worth the price

I finished the game, but I'm never touching this series again. What the heck was going on with the story in some of the cinematics? Beats me, was beyond my ability to follow it. The parry system was absurdly difficult to use, and you are punished severely if you screw it up. Elden Ring might have more difficult parries with the worst shields, but you are generally rewarded with some damage mitigation if you don't manage to get the timing perfect. And oh gosh, the inventory trash. Endless, endless piles of trash equipment to try and manage and throw away.

I failed badly at bloodborne..but after many positive reviews I m gonna play it again..but firsthand I repaired my led tv yesterday..got a new HDMI cable for my ps4...n bamm ordered the nioh collection steelbook edition..which contains both nioh 1 n 2...n m having a blast this weekend..full Saturday n Sunday day n night ...m gonna play nioh...man..I will hav a blast...m lovin it....

This is cheaper then Nioh 2 and I’ve already platinumed sekiro almost 2 years ago and I want an experience like that again and this can offer more it looks like. I do want elden ring but I honestly want to play this first.

It's definitely more of a story focused game than dark souls, and yeah it's pretty linear but that's okay.

I recently got Nioh a week or two ago because I like Samurai/Ninja games, but I’m really not a Soulsborne fan at all, so is this a game for people who are just into Samurai/Ninja games?

I got Nioh/2 on ps now waiting for the download also for some reasons I can do things like download the games I can play online games but for some reason I can't stream them so a lot of the ps now library I can't play for some reason

Nioh is nothing like dark souls

I just finished the remastered version for PS5, this was my first and possibly only playthrough. I have very strongly mixed feelings. Most of the time I hated the game and finished out of spite. It felt horribly unbalanced, either completely obliterate the bosses or be obliterated, there were few that felt well balanced. The menu systems... wow, 30%-40% of playtime is in some sort of menu. If you don't just go through them all yourself you'll miss out on several things as well. Also, most of the mechanics have little to no explanation, so either look it up or trial and error.

I think the game is designed in a way I just don't like. I don't want to spend dozens of hours putting together several load outs, grinding for the parts, and just digging through menus, but it seems this is how the game was intended. Maybe one day I'll do the DLC, I do plan on giving Nioh 2 a play at some point, but I think I need to give it some time as this was an overall sour experience. It never felt rewarding, as if I over came a challenge, because it was either super hard, or super easy, depending on load out, and how many menus I forgot to dig through.

I think I am less scared of this game then any of Dark-Souls-like games and i am sure it can teach me how to beat Dark Souls. I love the Setting and the Character so I even bought Nioh 2.

If theres 2 settings Id like to see more of it's Samurai age stuff and Western Reddead2 type stuff

God I love this game so far, getting better at dealing damage to the first boss and taking less damage is a great feeling. Also never expected a ninja to pull a cat out of his suit lmao
