Sitges should not be promoted for gay travel. I live here and can say there is a unbelievable amount of violent hate crime towards the community and the police don't even report it. Also from a traveler's perspective the town shuts down for winter with only 2 or lgtbtq places open. It's known to be a party mecca, because that's when it attracts the largest gay crowds, for a few summer events. It's not really Spain, your just partying with other tourists and for beaches the water is grey and ugly, it's clear like in other spots of the Med, which I think for beach Vaca is important. Barcelona is experiencing a lot of violent crime towards the LGBTQ community as well. I think Sitges' gay scene has seen it's glory pass.

Are the clubs still closed?

Is there any need for so many innuendos? Just a nice guide would suffice!

What a great fun place Sitges is

A waste of time. Gay Sitges has a lot to offer and you simply do not show anything of interest other than your screaming hysterical friend who also does not say much other than two or three stereotypical gay jokes. Is this all you have to say about amazing Gay Sitges?
