It's positively criminal that this guide pretty much ignores divine casters like clerics and oracles when you're fighting demonic hordes

I think the main thing for me is knowing how the character plays later in the game, as in the early game you can just test it out and respec.

Also if any classes have RP-elements or special dialogue or events, that would be good to know. What class suits what mythic path is also a question.

My first playthrough was easy, Ive always loved wizards and evil characters so I became a lich. Im looking at this video now for my second playthrough, in conjunction of trying to decide what mythic path to go for the second time.

DONT kill the salamanders or the water elemental. You will be lev 2 instead of 3, and you can buy mercenaries for half price.

I don't understand why multiclassing is even an option in a game with so many classes and sub-classes. A Fighter/Mage back in the day made a lot of sense - but when you have so many hybrid classes to pick from to start with, it makes a lot less sense in my mind as to why you would want to hybridize again. I'm sure there's a reason, but it almost seems like a relic of a past time because you could just create a new hybrid class to do the thing you couldn't do currently. Or maybe it's just a sign of class bloat where there is so much redundancy that the elegance and simplicity has been eradicated from the system entirely.

It reminds me of trying to buy headphones. You watch video after video of people saying this one is better but then this other guy says no this one is but only at this but not at this. After awhile you just dont even want them anymore. This is way too complicated. Just give me a goddamn class list to choose from. Spending hours trying to make a build and I dont even know what shapechanger will look like or how battle flows.

What a boring ground level basic guide this was... "yeah so fighters, they are good at.. Eh... Fighting"
the summary of this video. This wasnt helpfull or insightfull or even fun, just plain boring.

I would love to do a charisma build - which class would you suggest other than the obvious paladin and sorcerer

Just realize that this game has a lot of buttons and abilities. So if you want a faster more streamlined combat, don't choose too many heavy micro classes with lots of spells and stuff you have to memorize in a fight.

Monk is likely the most passive fighter and tank, and maybe get some healing. Things like fighter/mages tend to be the most micro heavy, requiring lots of attention.

In previous Pathfinder crpg, anything more than 2 or 3 caster classes in your party and combat will feel very slow and requires too much resource management. Having a lot of ranged classes that do a lot of damage in auto attacks, makes your management a lot easier.

If you like to manage the party, then choose a protagonist that is easy to fight with such as a kineticist or healer. If you like to manage your protagonist as the main person, then you can go multi class like fighter/mage. Generally the party options will have plenty of different roles for you to play with.

Depends on the difficulty setting you play on really. Normal and below and you can play anything you want if you are willing to micromanage and really lean the class. It's only when you get to the harder difficulty settings that playing a melee class is necessary. What I find, even after 100's of hours with the game is that on Hard difficulty, it's too hard for the first half of the game if you play as a mage class. The mage classes are some of the best dps classes but they don't start getting goo until around level 12. The problem with them is that because they don't have the feats early game, they can't hit anything and don't have enough spells. I really like playing them so what I usually do is recruit one and level him/her up as I go along and when I get to to mid game, I start playing with the class in my group.

When creating a character in a video game looks like a part time job there is a problem. These games are failures due to the tryhard wannabe nature of these type of games with all these useless statistics and numbers bla bla bla, and it all boils down to click a bunch of characters around the map and clicking stuff to fight that's it. All this extra nerd tryhard useless sht is pointless

My biggest challenge when picking a class in a new game, is not knowing which companions Im going to want to use and not wanting to overlap with them.
