I remember when the Lancer Evo came out... was after FF2 came out and that's probably what did it for the Evo. Of course, the Lancer didn't live on much longer after that and was discontinued a few years later I believe.

I remember legit laughing (not really in a humorous way but in a “oh shi— way) when James crashed into the wall. However I wasn’t surprised when the Evo was still running after the ice broke since the engine was never totally submerged in the water 🤷‍♂️ although no matter what I knew it was some how going to be fixed 😂

This show really takes the liberty in believing the viewer is just that stupid. Luckily they presenters are cool

It is amazing how emotional you can get when listening to Clarkston monologue about a machine. Well done!

Not only was the fact that James May crashed and got out completely unscathed, a miracle in itself.

But the fact that the Evo survived two deaths and got back up like it was the car equivalent of Rock Balboa is just incredible.

Thats why Rally bred cars are the greatest cars ever built. Truly built to go fast anywhere and last longer then the people who built it and drive it.

That Evo was like the youngest brother of 3 struggling to keep up, with his epic brothers, only to find he was the strongest of them all.

Could be the biggest shock and surprise on the grand tour is how good series 33 of Top Gear is going. It is a beautiful show (TG) and I think some of the grand tour stuff has been fading. Still know Jeremy, James and Richard gave us much but Top Gear is more about cars. We don't want to see James May get crapped on again.

I was genuinely ecstatic for James when the Evo made it at the end! Loved how they rehashed the same line "but I wasn't driving it" from Botswana special when Jeremy's Lancia made it to the end
