Is it good for metal?

From my opinion. The JBL Extreme 3 is a good purchase for parks, pools, small get together.
However, for a large get together, house party, or the beach there might be better speakers for those occasions.

Does it has an audio-in port? I mean the port where you can connect the TV audio out to the JBL Extreme

what should i do buy a xtreme 3 for 250 or a boombox 2 for 300

For me the bose Revolve plus 2 is better cuz jbl has though more bass but the bass is more introspective as with all Jbl products. the sound from bose simply sounds better, even if the revolve plus is not quite as loud at a distance. the bass is swept more outwards

ive never owned a extreme speaker before so i cant imagine how they sound in person, just owned a flip 4 and charge 5, xb32., thinking to get xb43 or extreme 3, idk tho which sounds better in person can anyone tell me how they sound?

I got to agree with you man it is very pricey I think I paid full price for it I think it was $379.00 it with tax might as well be $400.00 if you got it for 317 you got a deal

You know I hate to keep messaging on your profile but I'm going to have to agree with you I don't really notice between the extreme three or the charge fine you want my ass opinion to charge 5 seems to be just as loud I could be wrong I'm just I had my Extreme 3 and my charge 5 both party boost connected I hate to say it hate to admit it but I heard the charge 5 seem to be louder I'm going to have to agree with you I was a little disappointed too for the size of the speaker just saying again

Exactly I agree with you as big as it is I thought it would be louder too I was kind of disappointed for spending 400 Great Sound but agreed it should have been louder for the money in my opinion I was perfectly happy with my charge 5 and it was under $200 just saying

Don't forget that the "$50 gap" isn't always just about size or short term performance. A Maserati costs 25%+ more than a comparable Lexus... but in 5 yrs, 10 yrs, 20 yrs that Lexus will still be running strong and holding it's value--while the Maserati is in the landfill--worthless--having costs 10x more over it's life to repair and maintain. JBL has been around a LONG time--and makes EXCELLENT equipment--and has made millions of speakers. Ultimate ears has been around for a little while (mid 90's)--but not making speakers. They've only been doing that for a few years... after Logitech bought them--a company that basically makes computer peripherals. So... I'd bank on that JBL lasting 2, 3, 4, 5x longer than the other.

Please I need help I'm confuse between the Onyx 6 and Xtreme 3 though I already bought the Xtreme 3 yesterday so I want to know if the Onyx 6 is better and the battery life of Onyx 6

to make it louder you can hold the bluetooth and reduce volume together for some time and then light will blink near the bluetooth and power area then the speaker will work at full power and will be way louder hope someone tries it

sorry, I recently bought xtreme 3 but I noticed that the led on the power button is very dim, it's normal and yours is like this too or it's better that I return it and change it, thanks to whoever replies

I have one question i bought xtreme 3 new from store and on more volume it crack a little i can hear crackling voices idk what is problem?

Will not last 15 hours with bass boost on. It's not worth listening to it with it off. You'll get about 8 1/2 hours of play on half volume.

I got my xtreme 2 for 170€ on black friday, well worth it.

Man, JBL is expensive in the states. In New Zealand the Xtreme 3 is only $429 RRP which converts to $255 USD and that is including tax.

Hello, a huge greeting from Peru, my name is Gabriel Gonzales and well, I have a small collection of portable Bluetooth speakers. I have about 6 small Tronsmarts and 4 JBLs. Among the four JBLs, I have the extreme 3 and you are right. The midrange is very low, obviously, if you want to listen. something justifiable at the price paid but at 100 percent it has more bass than mids and if I compared it with my tronsmart force max 80 and it is very similar in sound the force max 80 suffers from mids it has a lot of bass and only at 100 percent is it possible to reach appreciate something I think they are the Hz of sound that these speakers give but when I linked it with my charge 5 wow they are the ideal match for JBL do the test and put them at 100 percent linked the two speakers the extreme 3 with the charge 5 and I think it will be They complement each other, I think that's how they designed them so that you can buy them as a pair because even in the design they are the most similar in JBL.

Guys, i need help.. i had to buy a speaker quickly and i went to local shop and bought Vivax BS210.. it was like €50 and i am very happy with it.. it has enough power for me and it can play music from usb (i love that, i wish more speakers have that option).. i am looking to buy another speaker, JBL Charge 5 or Xtreme 3 (or 4).. i think Xtreme is probably overkill for me but i would rather have some backup power and don't use it than don't have it if i need it.. i mostly use speakers when i work out in my home gym and when i am on bbq with my friends.. so no need for something too powerful.. but anyway, has anyone ever compared something like my Vivax with more expensive speakers like these JBLs? Is there a huge difference in sound? Vivax is €50, Charge 5 is €150, Xtreme 3 is €240 at the moment.. does the sound quality difference justifies the price?
