Firstly, a TON of labour camps would have to be cleared, full of starving, depressed people who have spent a whole generation starving slowly to death. The stories would be utterly horrific, and on a larger scale than in our timeline. There would be millions with no homes to go to, and as for the german settlers, where do they go? I imagine antideppressant proscriptions would be overflowed. Slums in Moscow would likely spring up as a temporary solution for the liberated Russians while Moscow is rebuilt and that would take years, as well as the fact that they also have a war to fight, and would have to change a lot in the occupied areas, especially media and education.
Secondly, let's say nuclear war doesn't break out, Zhukov pushes to the old borders, and recovery is made, how would anyone be able to come to terms with those 20 years? Russian silent generation, whatever the boomer generation was in our timeline, and even infant Gen X Russians would live the rest of their lives with that trauma of genocide and slavery, and would probably have to live with the fact that Goerings Germany still exists, right there. I imagine that they would all develop an everlasting hate for anything German, around the lines of Yazov. Even for future generations of Russians, they would still be taught of The second world war, the West Russian war, and the Russo- German war, and would develop that fear, too. It would be just like the Soviet liberation of camps in Ukraine, the Baltic, Poland, and the East Balkans except magnified a thousand times,
