Spot on! Just watched the movie and I have a yen for the movie that would have been the flashbacks!!

Tarzan otherwise known as Lord Greystoke or John Clayton. This guy and people like him are the main reason I don't watch movie reviews.

The problem with this movie is it takes itself WAY to seriously. No humor or light hearted moments at ALL.

Please anyone that wants to see the concept of Tarzan after his origin watch Greystoke not this.

I struggled to watch the first 15 minutes of this movie before turning it off. As a fan of the original source material and a lover of primates I could not stomach the illogical characters and plot of this movie. Ugh...

This movie could have been great. BUT .... amateur director, bad writer and poor action ruined it completely.

I've read the books and from that I know the backstory of Legend of Tarzan which makes the movie better for me. But it would have been fun to see the origin in this style. You briefly see young Tarzan take on Sheeta just like in the books. I would have liked more of that but also to see how he got all those scars. Some I know from the books but not all.

This movie was fuck balls awful went it thinking it was a tarzan movie then i had to google on my phone cause i thought i was watching the sequel to some movie i didnt see.

I liked this movie. I thought it was a fun throwback to 30s adventure films, and had a very good cast. The ape cgi was really awful, though. Not sure why it came out so bad, but boy was it.

You're joking! Margot Robbie ruined the movie lmao! In my opinion, anyways. She acted so very badly and there were SO SO SOOOO many good options of actresses to play Jane, yet they chose her...which I really don't get. She was terrible. Also, the flashbacks were so choppy and short and all over the place. But I do agree that I would LOVE to see that movie. Just wish Margot Robbie wasn't in this or that.

I like it, it's a great family movie of good vs bad, we have seen the tarzan origin story more then enough times. I don't think we would care to see it again, the flash backs were a nice tease but a feature film length of it. Don't know how they would pull that one off.

Gosh Margot Robbie is literally the only thing that would make me want to rewatch this movie I did like Christoph Waltz and Sam Jackson though

I thought the movie The Legend of Tarzan was based on the classic Tarzan movies that had those actors Johnny Weissmuller and Lex Barker and Gordon Scott

Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book (1994) was the best Tarzan adaptation.

When I saw this, I thought this was a direct sequel to the 1999 Disney Tarzan
