Have you ever visited Slovakia? 😊
Welcome back to Europe! ❤️
oh no why did you choose hostel :D
ОтветитьWhy you guys choosed the worst hotel😭
Ответитьlol i never seen svickova served with a jam :D
ОтветитьPretty enjoyable to see my country by your eyes 😊
ОтветитьMy family comes from Bratislava. I am Slovak totally both sides of family. I love your films. Great job❤
ОтветитьAt the time of the breakup, I read that it was primarily due to the Slovaks feeling that they were dominated by the more western-oriented Czechs, Perhaps like the French Canadians in Canada. I have no idea, of course, what actually happened, being an American.
ОтветитьI always thought Kofola tasted like christmas…don‘t know why. Maybe because of the herby flavor. A christmassy cola
Ответитьthat hostel is the cheapest sewer for workers
ОтветитьWatch out for the wind mills/turbines. Donald Trump says they give you cancer 🤣
ОтветитьSlovakia is part of EU, NATO, OECD - definitely part of western world. Only Russians everytime think that some states of former Soviet Union defense are EAST. Horrible
ОтветитьThe latest population of the city is already 480,000 people. Unofficially, on a weekday up to 650,000. And it's a shame that you didn't visit the UFO tower, the new Downtown with skyscrapers, shopping centers, museums, the National Theater, Devín Castle, St. Martin's Cathedral and the Blue Church, Big monument to Fallen soldiers from World War 2 Slavín, the Danube river cruise...
ОтветитьThe soup looks like česnečka.
ОтветитьAhoj.ste skvelý..áno ako Československo sme boli ekonomicky viac hore..a páčilo sa mi ,že ste skúsili naše jedlá..držím vám palce a želám všetko dobré ❤❤
ОтветитьWhy doesn't Europe have skyscrapers?
ОтветитьHow on earth you found THAT hostel is beyond me xD
ОтветитьI'm so happy that you visited my beautiful city where I was born, hello from Ontario Canada. I love your travel videos!
ОтветитьI don't know if you were on a tight budget or what, but the hostel you booked is the absolute shittiest accommodation in the worst location possible. Seriously, we have affordable hostels in the city center.
ОтветитьOur country!!!
Ответитьsauce is: carot, parsley (root),celery, onion + hevy cream + some spices pepper bay leaves
jam - cremberies kompot
the original should be TENDERLION (translation SVIECKOVA) ..... but the cheaper version is long cooked beef meat eyeround
You should try TATRA TEE or Borovicka.
and once again slovakia isnt eastern europe, but central XD just ur average slovakian
ОтветитьAs a person from Slovakia, no way I would ever stay at that hostel. How did you even find such a run down place? Hope it was at least dirt cheap.
ОтветитьSviečková sauce is made of vegetables - usually carrots, parsley root, kohlrabi, celery and some seasonings. The vegetables are cooked, then mixed together with the water they were cooked in and cream is added. Quite simple actually. Just takes a lot of time to cook the beef.
It's nice to see and English video about my city 🙂
Narva - still not the worst. The room configuration is widely used for worker accomodation - the shared area by 3 people is an animal cruelty anyway...😎
Guessing by the face expression - that was Borovička. I am local, but still cannot drink it without faces.😁
Sviečková is Czech.
The sheep cheese dumplings is high energy food. If You will visit to High Tatras and imagine the work of the shepherds in harsh condition, You will get it.
This little car was produced at the local car factory.
According to public polls in 1992 almost 2/3 of citizens voted for united Czechoslovakia in some form.of federation with a degree of independence for both nations. This is the reason of they never held referendum, because our politicians and the West wanted to split it.
I am sad, because they loudmouthed about democracy everywhere and finally we got the harsh reality of dictature... again.
I am from Slovakia🌍🤍💙❤
ОтветитьThanks for this nice video of my city. Just one comment regarding the food. Sviečková is Czech food. The dumplings - Bryndzové halušky is slovak national food. Bryndza = sheep cheese. Slovak bryndza is also registered in the EU's Register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications.
ОтветитьYay-Bratislava-my hometown.Hope you enjoy your stay in Slovakia.❤
ОтветитьThat hostel looks like shit
ОтветитьJulia was it borovička you were drinking. Just wondering
ОтветитьAbsolutely mesmerizing journey through Bratislava, Slovakia! 🌍 The blend of history and culture is palpable in every corner, showcasing a city that's a true gem in Europe. 🏰 It's remarkable how Bratislava embraces both its past and present, nestled just a stone's throw away from Vienna. 🇸🇰🇦🇹 The visuals of clean streets and delightful cuisine had me dreaming of my future visit. 🥟🌆 Kudos to Julia and Matt for painting such a vibrant picture of this underrated European city! 🎨 Looking forward to more enriching travels and delicious discoveries! 🌟👏
Ответитьthat hostel killed me 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 how did you even find that 😂🤣😂🤣 I've never heard of that one and I'm from here
ОтветитьBratislava is not what you need to visit in slovakia. Go north, see the mountains, thermal springs, castles. Skip Bratislava if you can.
Ответитьwlcome to Slovakia
Ответитьi wamted to split
ОтветитьThank you for enjoying your stay in our little country, you are welcome again next time 😘
Ďakujeme, že sa Vám páčilo v našej malej krajine, ste vítaní aj nabudúce 👍
Slovakia is not eastern Europe pls
ОтветитьAs a slovak person I have to say, that you choosed the most forgotten, cheap an poor part of Bratislava for a Hostel :D I myself would be worried about sleeping there. But where do you have the number of population from? :D It was 441k like 30 years ago, its about 650-700k now. And we have so many Vietnamese people in here, because they arrived here during the communistic era. And hopefully the shot of alkohol was Borovicka :D
ОтветитьWas there this summer for a few days. Loved it.
Ответитьoh very nice presented my city...
ОтветитьSlovakia is Central Europe by the way!
ОтветитьCmooon Slovakia, Czech republic, Poland Hungary are not east europe countries but the central europe.... Russia Ukraine Moldova and Belarus are Eastern europe
Ответитьnot the best choice with the hostel, that one looks more like a budget accomodation for construction workers as it's within the industrial zone, I would prefer something within walking distance to the centre rather. But I am happy you enjoyed the centre and did your research about the local things.
ОтветитьBratislava has 650k population, you can check it - This comes from a Slovak.
ОтветитьThank you from Bratislava ! Finally some YT travelers who has quite good knowledge about the country they visit :)
ОтветитьLike any other country, capital usualy do not represent the country or what country is like..:) We are central Europe and used to be part of the eastern block along with Hungary, Poland, Czech republic and a part of Ukraine. Nice video, thank you :)
ОтветитьEnjoy Bratislava. It’s good you came in summer, in winter it can get very depressing
Ответить
