ОтветитьAoede
Take the surges away from me
I am a prisoner of my mirror
Aoede, Aoede
I am calling you back again
Free me from my demons
I’ll water your soil with their blood
Perhaps my melody will grow
Aoede
Penalize me
Control my mouth
Penalize the worshipers
Words are (the act of) breathing;
But life is (the act of) breathing
Talk to me, Talk to me
Your ghost petrifies me
I saw it throughout my life
If only it humored me
Hoping words would take care of me
Aoede
Console me
Words poured from me
Penalize the worshipers
We need more music

ОтветитьI am Greek and thanks for this wonderful song, much love ❤️❤️
ОтветитьI found this band today. I'm very interested in production of music. I try to understant it for a better listen. Pop rock was probably the easiest obe for me to understand, but when you add this indie touch to it it seens to be a bit more complex abd it just fits so right. This is amazing
ОтветитьShame on you 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

btw aoede's meaning : the name aoede derive from greek mythology .aoede was one of the three muses
ОтветитьCould someone please translate this song's lyrics?
ОтветитьBas 7ada fehim chu 3m ye7ke?
ОтветитьIt was amazing in live. Berlin show was a diamond.
The lights, the solos of the instrument player guys, then Hamed appeared and sang his part.
This track is incredibly touching, so much emotions it has and the string parts somehow awake a feeling of hope in me.
As a choreographer I started to see a whole stage performance made on this track by just standing there, listening as part of the audience.
Incredible what this guys can do. This is what I call charisma, art, passion, mission and depth.
This is so good, but the bassist sounds like a guitarist picking up a bass for the first and also his timing is EVER SO SLIGHTLY OFF... It's infuriating

ОтветитьWhat a wonderful intro for an excellent album! For me "Ibn El Leil" is a 10 out of 10: First I fell in love with Ashabi & Marikh, a short time later with Aoede, Djin, Icarus & Asnam. Then 3 Minutes, Maghawir and Tayf followed.... and what can I say? After listening to the album again and again I also fell in love with the other songs.
I especially love the electronic second part of Maghawir. Personally, I like the fact that the current album sounds more electronic than the previous two albums and the EP. Until yet I did not really connect with the first album, but of course there are many songs from El Hal Romancy and Raasük that I really love (Imm El Jacket, Skandar Maalouf, Lil Watan, Ma Tetrikini Heik, Bahr).
I don't understand most of the lyrics, only some through the translations that can be found on the internet. But the MUSIC really touches my heart and soul. I spent some time watching articles, interviews and the Coke Studio episode (Gosh! ;-)) in order to understand a little more of your motivation and the intention behind the music. Though I like your cover version of Get Lucky I think the producer tried to push you into a (mainstream like) direction that you don't fit. The way the song finally sounds does not at all match with the other beautiful music you created, because most of the typical Mashrou' Leila sound is just missing (e.g. the violin should have been more in focus). Nevertheless it's still a good cover version. And Nile Rodgers seemed to have a lot of fun. :)
Now I wish you all the best for the US tour. And I'm really looking forward the show in Hamburg in October and would also be glad if you came back to Frankfurt (Mousonturm) in autumn. Much love from Germany. God bless you, guys!
love this!
Ответитьvery good songs, you can be very proud of this album !
don't give up guys !!
I love you, will you marry me ? No, is not allowed. :)
Ответитьmy man is doing some damage

ОтветитьGreat music. It's a pity not to speak Arabic to understand lyrics.
ОтветитьCan't stop listening to this song.
A master piece. Bless you guys
You're my favourite fucking band. I hope to see you in Jordan next week when I'm on holiday in Lebanon. Peace from the UK ♥
ОтветитьI loved Mashrou's earlier music, even saw them in concert in NYC...but this track sounds like Jamiroquai on a bad day
ОтветитьI get high listening to this
ОтветитьI don't like how they rarely now put the violin feel in their music
Ответитьabsolutely incredible I NEED ur talent here in the states !!!
Ответитьabsolutely incredible I NEED ur talent here in the states !!!
ОтветитьAlone the idea of putting an opening song to your album, that is a prayer to Aoede, the Goddess of Voice and Song is worth a buy.
