A bit late to the party but one of my absolute favorite franchises from when I was younger is Tenchu. I feel like it is really obscure because pretty much none of my friends remember it and it pretty much has been dead for almost 15 years now. I was hopeful at one point because there were rumors that Sekiro Shadows Die Twice was supposedly going to be a new instalment in the series or at least a spiritual successor but alas I fear the Azuma Ninja Clan is indeed doomed to stay in the shadows.

So glad to see a dormant franchise like Armored Core return to form with a 6th entry. Been too long

Probably unfair of me, but I just couldn't stomach the character re-designs for Lufia CotS, especially compared to Kenji Andou's brilliant and evocative work on the original. Especially Maxim looks like an absolute ponce.
As for a franchise I'd like to see revived? Naval Ops: Warship Gunner is super fun in a decidedly Armored Core sort of way.

It's not a long-ass in Pilot Wings it's a sort of a sleeve that hang gliders tuck their legs into

For me it is not abandones cause it is a SPin-Off series but it would be like Pokemon Rangers or a new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and yes I know 2020 came the remake of the 1st one but like one with new story and so on

lmao kind of a tease to show Maximillian from Dark Cloud 2/Dark Chronicle and not talk about that series. i get it tho, it was only 2 games. i've only played the first Dark Cloud (my copy of the 2nd mysteriously went missing shortly after I got it for my birthday), but it's really good, it's still one of my favorite games of all time. I've heard that plans for dark cloud 3 were turned into some other game but i don't remember what it was off the top of my head. i don't have a lot of hope that it'll come back, but i was wrong about etrian odyssey, gex, and (most shocking to me), rhapsody

Okami. A zelda like better then 95% of Zelda games. Capcom really didn't put enough faith into that series.

I'd choose the Dark Cloud games, I want another one of them. I always thought both were really fun.
