I read the manga a few years ago, but only chapter 1. why? because Denji seems too miserable. He died, resurect, then a sadist woman suddenly want to arrest him. What the hell. this man is so miserable and woman in that manga seems so cruel.

Because Makima is the Demon of Control and can only make friends or family through fear and terror. He manipulated and then killed many people, especially Aki and Power (and didn't even use his true power on them) to perform his master plan of mentally and emotionally destroying just to have Pochita (The Chainsaw Devil) and besides, Power was a danger because he was still strong enough as the Blood Demon, to be able to face Makima, even if it was only for a few moments and Makima did not want delays or obstacles in his plan to obtain Pochita.
