Just like how a person can't come into your house and tell you what to do is the same thing they did to reggae music reggae is a foundation music played with instruments at the time we embrace computerized rydim was reggae downfall the shitstym gave that to us to manipulate reggae reggae should not and never be changed no matter what time or year it is one should not add neither take off what's a foundation just like one should never take neither add to what Hallie Selassie said one should only comply to the original order of the king just like one should comply by the original order of reggae music that is what makes it remain what it is

Bookman swam on his back to Haiti in ~1792, he wasnt sold. Jamaica was already burning plantations left n right from 1690s. He married the head priestess Marie, they formulated the take over of Haiti.. way b4, they brought in Toussaint L'Overture because he was "unpleased" with Napoleon. He was one of Napoleon's lieutenant, so he brought " that army discipline" .
Bookman grew up in Trelawny amongst the "Quickstep" maroons.. he decided to spread the revolution from Jamaica to the rest of Caribbean.. Haiti was the successful one.. The Sam Sharpe rebellion freed Jamaica for 10 years, then Britain surrounded the island with ships n took it back ..

Look these things up, find n read 📚, theyre shadow banning

Great interview! Ya know I’m 45 years old and one artist, who I’ve admired for years, I listen every time I listen to music is Bob Marley. But I listen to most of his songs that weren’t play so much on radio like, Small Axe, Roots, Time Will Tell, Natty Dread and Put it On. Of course I listen to other Reggae and Dance Hall but I still play my Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Buju Banton and ect….. to be honest I like the old music due to the words, meaning and how the music penetrates my soul.

Y'all also forgot that haitian's had already fought in the american revolution prior to 1791, and haitian's also fought in the louisiana war in 1812, google joseph savary and the louisiana war. plus in south american countries for liberation. haiti used its own funds and some soldier's to helped freed south america.

Great reasoning Brethens, but I was push to make a contribution base on de African people ability to work in cohesion the miseducation of African people through the Transatlantic slave trade was done to bring forth that mental attitude that we now suffer throughout the Caribbean region and the African diaspora. So right now is a time fi Man and Man to know themselves and re educate .This is a perilous time that we must put Marcus Garvey word to action and make the African life a reality. We all must follow the way of de elders who hold de real traditional unity teachings. Give Thanks.

Does anyone know the story of the Rastafarians who built a community in Pamphret St. Thomas that was totally self-reliant? They earned so much from Ganja, they were able to assist the Government I am told. Same Government turn around and betray them.

Rasta has done a lot for Jamaica. Must give credit where credit is due. It also has its flaws and weaknesses. Like all ideology and movements that are unbalanced there is a problem in Rasta of the dominance of masculine principle over feminine. Because of man-worship there will be acceptance of self-destructive behaviour, hypocrisy, sexual and other indiscipline, money-worshipping,, ignorance, and corruption of spirituality that is driven by ego-based thinking and behaviour.

In this era, all cultures that treat the feminine principle as only a tool to be manipulated, corrupted, abused for human male worship/ empowerment/ enrichment/ rulership at the expense of all life on Earth, all such systems will expose their cracks and flaws.

Man-worshipping systems will eventually break themselves apart because of extreme abuses of power, mental and social imbalance, lack of sustainability, violence and destruction, misogyny and deep seated prejudices and hatred. Women and feminine principle are mistreated by them all. Men and children are also greatly harmed by these unbalanced systems. We all are. Imbalance often pretends most to be balanced.
