Once you HM/SP 950 nothing is good enough
ОтветитьGreat vid as usual, nice bike.....but what is the chest rig u r wearing please
ОтветитьJust bloody awesome 👌
ОтветитьNot much less than an s1000R. Is it that good?
ОтветитьThe dealer gave me a streetfighter V2 demo to play with while my Panigale V2 was being serviced and I was not very impressed. I prefer the lighter more nimble feel of my Monster plus and the street racer feel of my Panigale V2 so to me the streetfighter V2 is a bit of a pointless bike.
ОтветитьI have a 2021 Monster plus and I think I prefer the simple red colour scheme on mine. The colour scheme on the SP is a bit too fussy for me. The steering damper is not standard on the basic models and I had to fit one to mine - very twitchy in crosswinds or overtaking large trucks without it. Will be fitting (well the dealer will) the full termi exhaust system that's on the sp soon. Sold my 2015 Monster 821 stripe to get the new one and it's a much more fun bike than the 821.
ОтветитьLet’s not talk about stuff that can’t happen or will not happen that way we narrow down the Hadeeth hewars
ОтветитьIt ain’t happening so let’s not talk about this one
ОтветитьGreat review Chops. I currently ride a 1200S Monster and I’m wondering if I’d miss the BHP if I traded in for one of these…🤷🏼♂️
ОтветитьIt looks like a Grom on you.
ОтветитьAce first look vid Chopsy, I have been looking at this bike since it came out, I prefer the looks of the other versions as not keen on this paint option. Is nice that Ducati have brought the bike into the modern era with the new frame.
Ответитьtoo expensive and the ugliest motorcycle in the Ducati offer
ОтветитьI wish they'd stop hiding the engine. Too much black around the power plant.
ОтветитьLove the colour scheme, love the sound, top stuff LCR as always! You the man! 👍
ОтветитьVery nice little trundler. I wonder how it compares with that new KTM SP?
Better price than Harley Sportster S- who’d win in a straight line?
Looking forward to the group test with the 890 R and Street Triple RS Chopsy. Really enjoying my RS - its cosmic!
ОтветитьNice video Chopsy, looked great fun and a spirited ride. Did the first group pull over to let your group go through? sounds great too 👍🏻
ОтветитьI really considered this one, but the 890 Duke R is way better value (4000£ cheaper in Norway). More Hp and torque, great suspension, more sporty feel and way more capable for track days
ОтветитьHi Chops..would like to see your review on the new 890DukeR..✌️
Ответитьwhats happening with the tacho? looks like its moving up and down at 10 mins
Ответитьlove the review mate , I must say if Ducati didn't bring out the streetfighter V2 i would have totally gone for this bike , what a great looking bit of kit .
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьIt is a great bike Chops but it is very expensive. I believe it is considerably more pricey than the competition. Looking forward to your middleweight shootout. This, the new Triumph 765 rs, the KTM 890R and the The Yam MT09 SP. For good measure you could include the Kawa Z900 S.E, oh and the Yam XSR900. Anyway mate keep up the good work.
ОтветитьHow this engine compares to old air cooled 1100?
ОтветитьSuch an underrated engine, I chose the Multistrada for more comfort but so much fun in the real world, the induction noise is addictive, love it🤣😆👍
ОтветитьGreat watch Chopsy, honest review with no-bullsh*t, as always! As an almost-50 rider finding my Panigale a bit too uncompromising and convinced my next move was either a Streetfighter V2 or Street Triple, I'm now really conflicted.. Cheers for that mate, quite a few more months of indecision ahead of me now.. 😡🖕🤣🤣
ОтветитьThat looks a fun machine
ОтветитьI wonder what the real world tank range is? My 848 was 90mls before the light was meant to come on, although most of the time it didn't work. People say "if you buy a bike like this, you are not bothered by range", after the 848 and a 1098 and a 900ss, I am. This is of course the problem with big Vs.....but once you're hooked that's it. It is also quite plastic in places with pipes jutting out rather visually unresolved. I suppose it's why its 14k. Ride wise, it might just be perfect for UK Sunday scratching though. Realistically, the standard model is absolutely fine and offers better value. Ride one, go on, I dare you!!!!!!
ОтветитьI wonder what middle Englanders think living near Ducati, with their thatched roofes, hairy motts and ritual sacrifices.😮
Ответитьanother brilliant video, it wheelies very well but not on public roads 😂😂😂😂go on butty give it the beans. How much is it ££££ 👍😎
ОтветитьDear Chopsy
I've been a subscriber for a fair time now and have continued to watch and support you. I've always enjoyed your vids and how you present them. You've put in a lot of hard work and it's meant you've grown the channel and your reach; not just with the YT community but with the industry itself. And in that lies my problem.
The Monster SP is a great bike, no doubt but, you seem to trip over yourself to not say anything negative or even seemingly negative. I've always felt that your criticisms have always been fair and handled primarily with kid gloves and that's appealing. Now however it feels as though as your reach and privileges have expanded, your being overly cautious to not just say anything negative but more to keep and curry favour with the manufacturers.
It's tough and by no means can I tell you what to do, I'm certainly not privy to any of the conversations and dealings you have with said manufacturers but a word of caution from me, someone who has worked for both manufacturers and in media, that once you lose your integrity, it's damn near impossible to get it back.
I'm not going anywhere and will continue to support you. Please though, always remember what made you who you are and got you to this point. Honest and fair with a dose of good mannered humour.
Great review chopsy , looks like you where having a good laugh on the monster . Good to see a bit of dry road and blue sky again !! 😁
ОтветитьI'd seen several poor reviews of this bike, but you've made me want to test ride one;-) Why do I watch bike reviews?🤨 It looks nothing like the Monsters of yesteryear, half way between an Aprillia and Japanese style but I must admit I like it. And light weight is definitely a big pro for me. Thanks and ride safe.
Ответитьno trellis frame, no single sided swingarm in the rear. Nah I'll take the hyper motard for the same money then. Also the colors are awful and the engine compared to the ktm 890 and street triple is flat and lacking character (yes I rode all bikes) and the SP is overpriced compared to Triumph and KTM. I can see how Chop is not comparing the Monster to other bikes because he wants to maintain a good relation with Ducati to loan bikes in the future.
ОтветитьGreat bike chops. I had a test ride on the standard version last year. Massive fun on twisty B roads. A future purchase for sure.
ОтветитьThis my dream bike. Shoot out we need (middle weight nakeds) Ducati Monster, ktm duke 890, mv agusta brutale 800, Mt09, z900, street triple, aprilia 660.
ОтветитьWhere does this line up against the Streetfighter V2?
ОтветитьTwin spar Aluminium frame?!
Ответить"technocological" 😂
ОтветитьRight there with ya on the Desmo L twins. I own this new SP, an also a Supersport 950s. Wonderful engine. Loads of feedback. I have a V2 for the track. Thats where it belongs. Its torture on the street. So, when is the V100 vs R1250RS compare coming?
ОтветитьNice work Chopsy.
ОтветитьSingleDick..? No, Mono cock :p
ОтветитьI feel I have heard other reviews say the front shocks dip under breaking, and that the gear changes can be clunky?
Can you speak to that?
Wow. The fast driving view by motorcycle looks great and relieves the stress I have.😀👍👍
ОтветитьInfectious enthusiasm. I like.
ОтветитьWhat really annoys me about Ducati and its Owners of the Trellis framed bikes is that all the marketing blurb of the past 50 yrs they have told us that their bikes were faster by design, better than those Japanese monocoque frames (pronounced monocock Chopsie). Which means all the Owners ride around with that total smugness that only BMW GS riders can match.
Now Ducati says we need to make this bike faster - so what do they do - use a monocoque, leaving Trellis owners with ' I bought it for the looks, etc'
Thoughts vs the 890r or z900? Great video 👊
ОтветитьGreat Channel mate, and it was your super duke GT appraisal that made me buy one. Love this 2023 Monster.
