As usual, report omitted name of culprit developer.
ОтветитьEven you have an inspector, you have to make sure to find the competent one.
ОтветитьWithout proper man power. Like using illegal aliens from out front of a big box store.
ОтветитьCyfy inspections
ОтветитьYou can get it inspected all you want, because the home builder will take their sweet time to fix it, that's for sure.
Ответитьoh you need to buy a home inspection. even if it's new. get a home inspector to help with your punch list.
ОтветитьHey its Cy! He's great
ОтветитьIf need a home inspector to point out a shitty paint job then you should be able to own a house.
ОтветитьBlack Rock and Blackstone and vanguard and all the other hedge funds.
ОтветитьMost of these issues were ticky tack.
ОтветитьYour house is liveable?...so is a tent
ОтветитьBuy something built in the 80s and put some work into it. That's what I did.
ОтветитьThis is what happens when the builders aren't real builders but developers that sub out the work to the cheapest bidder. Americans' can't afford quality, you can't afford a good carpenter. It's why everything we buy is plastic crap. It's all we can afford. But the profits are at all time highs Greed is king in capitalism.
Ответитьstop buying their homes and let those builders go out of busiiness screw em
Ответить$400 for a house inspection is well worth the money.
ОтветитьWho built this house ? Please let us know, so we know to avoid them if not publicly shame them.
Ответитьstick and stucco trak shacks
ОтветитьEdward this is new norm. You're late to the party. The developer is cutting corners pushing GC's to rush the work so it can get on the market and sold. It's not just in Arizona either I live in Washington and bought a new 2,500sqft manufactured home from the factory in 2019 and it had many of the same issues. My home was on the assembly line for 96hrs that should give you and idea of how quick they pushing the laborers to get done.
ОтветитьImagine signing over to buy a house before doing a basic walkthrough. (The problem lies with people not knowing what to look for when purchasing a home and builders not being held to a high enough standard). That mixed with the hyperinflation in some areas means you’re not getting a fair deal on these new homes.
ОтветитьWhy are those homes so close to each other? Wouldn't that be a fire hazard?
ОтветитьRight livable but not ready, or complete. I’m willing to bet somebody’s job in the company is to sign off on punch lists, and they are being steamrolled
ОтветитьJust the new homes in Arizona??? 😂😂😂
ОтветитьAll that unskilled cheap labor coming here illegal is the problem.
ОтветитьMaking billions by scamming thousands.
ОтветитьMan those houses are only an arm’s length apart…
ОтветитьAs a prior home inspector, I can say new builds are the worst homes out there and never trust big builders like Dirty Hortons (as many like to call them).
ОтветитьAs a former of a track build sub contractor. I can say 1st hand. These home builders don't care. The things I have seen pass is crazy. I'm glad this inspector is blowing up! Thx u guys
ОтветитьThey can they just don’t. There’s no pride in work from subs nor contractors. They know someone will buy it anyway.
ОтветитьHopefully, they all find all the defects and file their claims before the 10 years warranty is up.
ОтветитьThe problem is the tradespeople are getting paid for shoddy work.
But If you don’t pay for crappy work you just get yourself a bad reputation.
Like a certain president who used to be a developer.
Newport homes did this to our entire community. Dont buy new homes
ОтветитьAnother issue nobody wants to talk about is untrained labor - illegals. The general contractor subcontracts each step and many of these use illegals for the cheapest labor possible. You have no idea who is working on your home or their background.
You would not believe the issues I found even after the "professional" inspector left.
Houses are being built so fast now days. Inspect your new home before its to late
ОтветитьBad time to buy houses in a hyper inflated market like it is.
ОтветитьIf you're buying a HD Horton house, I suggest you getting an inspection and home warranty.
ОтветитьEvery house is like that ! the builder will ghost you once you take legal possession of it .AGREE inspect all new homes !!
ОтветитьThat's what you get when you try and hire the labor from the parking lot of Home-Dip-O or just fresh off the boarder jumper trains, planes or automobiles ! (Yes, there are grammatical errors on purpose)
ОтветитьAll the new homes are built cheaply and the contractors cut corners to get them built faster.
But we still get charged insane prices for shoddy workmanship because tax assesors assess a property so that the county/state can make bank in property taxes.
Always get an independent home inspector to check out a house before you buy it.
I'm not planning on buying a house anytime soon.
I'm just sitting back, scoffing at the 2, 3, and 400k pricetags for these overvalued but cheaply built places.
That’s what happens when illegal immigrants build your house hahahah
ОтветитьHello- What it really comes down to is the quality and caring of the work that is performed from each and every individual, from the laborers on up to the 'qualified/licensed' persons. I recall the 'old days' when people actually cared and were proud of what they did whether it was digging a ditch, on up to the actual finish work performed in the home.
~New Mexico Home Inspector
Buyers need to educate themselves in the building of their homes. Open your eyes! Look at every detail! Look in the attic, the crawl space, around your HVAC, water hearter....most of this is not hard to see. Educate yourself. Hire a tradesman for a few hours, an electrician, plumber etc....they see this crap everyday.
Ответитьi think what makes this worse is that they selling these jacklegg homes for 250-800k and you can't open windows or close doors and sh*T
ОтветитьA fricking cave is "livable"!
ОтветитьI owe just 40k on my house...woohoo !!!!
ОтветитьArizona loves cheap labor.
ОтветитьThe better question is, why do these flimsy houses cost so much? Outlaw corporate ownership of residential real estate. Honestly, there should be regulation over this, its just disgusting. Most times it amazes me greatly how I moved from an average lifestyle to earning over $63k per month, Utter shock is the word. I have understood a lot in the past few years that there are lots of opportunities in the financial market. The only thing is to know where to invest…
ОтветитьAlso. These houses are obnoxiously large
. Come on people. Your giant house is squeezed in between other giant houses. So tacky
Homes are disposable nowadays. The equivalent of throwaway junk you but at the dollar store
ОтветитьCy Porter is on it!!!
ОтветитьDon’t buy Khovnanian. Don’t do it.
