The one thing I couldn't take seriously in this scene, it was completely out of character for Payne to just let go of the fact that the kid lied to him about the phonecall. He would've definitely been like "what are you playing at, big-eared turd?"

I met Chris Owens, he really enjoyed talking to me about what it was like shooting Major Payne and American Pie. He even shared details behind the scenes that we didn't see. Also mentioned Damon Wayans always lost his voice for how he spoke on set. They shot this movie at a Real Military School in Virginia
