ОтветитьI couldn't find anyone else providing this fun fact, so I guess here it is in my own words. The reason your computer marks the world location as "empty" instead of actually deleting it (overwriting it with all 0's or something) is because changing all the bits to all 0's decreases the lifespan of whatever storage thing the world is on (it's pretty minuscule, but that does add up). Every time a bit is changed, it basically loses a little "durability," and changing everything to all 0's uses unnecessary durability that could have been avoided, especially if the bit is going to be changed right back to a 1.
ОтветитьIs no one going to talk about how scary the thumbnail is?

ОтветитьA feature of windows is the system restore. If something really bad happens you can tell windows to restore the system to what it was some date in the past. How can this be possible if you have deleted things? Well, computers never delete ANYTHING. Files get overwritten instead.
And up until then, the file you ''deleted'' will still be there, in isolation, alone because everything around it will deny it's very existence. Kind of tragic really.
You should think about that when you delete something!
Reminds me of Vsauce
