Sony Xperia 1 IV First Look: These cameras are WILD

this phone seriously tries to do the MOST - how are you feeling about the Sony Xperia 1 IV?

If you were me would you consider trading my iPhone 14 pro max for this?

Most objective review on Xperia I have seen. Thoroughly professional.
However, the followups on 1 iv or the 5 iv is yet to be seen!

why the winter cap indoors?

I wish they made the camera's led flash a Xenon flash, to make it more attractive

Nearly 25 percent less pixels than 4k, stop advertising it as a 4k screen because its nowhere near 4k!

No bevels or curves or notches and the corners of the screen are perfect 90 degrees. And a 3.5mm jack.
Only thing is I hear is overheating issues mainly when running demanding apps or the camera at max.

Between the 1 iv and the 5 iv which one should i choose? Besides the size of the phone of course!

Hows the overheat treating you while shooting videos or heavy duty ? as its the one issue that holds me back from getting it so far ( proud owner of w810- w890 - w902 - z3- z5 and finnaly xz premium ) so i am a huge fan but hate the overheat really!

What you said about not having the grip and vlog monitor is true, you can stil use it for a talking head video but only problem is you wont be using the top notch cameras which are at the back, otherwise it would of been brilliant

what´s HDR Graded? Something the phone offers or is it done in the post processing?

Overheating, telephoto lens soft and RAW files are low ISO so noisy.
Sent mine back to Sony this phone could of been amazing but these issues need to be address.

Why don't you use 60fps? 60fps looks sharper, smoother and does not lag/stutter as 24fps do.

Sony is really doing a great job at developing their phones and carving out their own unique experience and identity in the space.

The price is a bust but having a headphone jack and SD card slot is excellent.

Xperia is the only interesting lineup every year whereas Samsung, One Plus, and the rest are just almost recyclable junk every year. Nothing compels me to own a phone forever anymore. Galaxy phones feel like you can just junk it and forget about them forever. Xperia phones are like your first playstation, you never feel like throwing them out because they were so good and had so much character. They feel like they'll always feel like a classic forever.

Wish Sony Phones are still offered here in the Philippines.
