Adam: Uses a puppy to help
Me: Puppyteering
The camera work is the bit I struggle with most. I tend to film things like a phone selfie.
ОтветитьWill sok puppet do good??
Ответитьmy puppet is more of like an unnatural monster guy that does the first thing that comes to his mind so this video is a bit useful
ОтветитьGrandsons love puppets. Thank You, need to make a few
Ответитьprotect this man at all cost
ОтветитьI can’t seem to find a printable version of your puppetry basics on your website. Is this available?
ОтветитьAmazing video. Excellent explanation with good examples.
ОтветитьMy brain comes up with characters ALL THE TIME, and I have a very dominant one. They mostly interact with my sister because we are close and she gets the humor and nuances of the character. I'm really excited to actually make a puppet of one in particular. It's a fully fledged character, with a temperament, preferences, a unique voice, and talkativeness/lack thereof. It's extremely hard to go backwards and figure out what appearance fits something that already has most of its qualities, but I've been really working at it today. I hope I can pull through, finish it, and show you! Your videos are super helpful and are making me think even more creatively.
ОтветитьGreat video! Very informative and helpful thank you 🎉 I was asked to start a puppet ministry and I have no clue how to work a puppet or to even go about this ministry. However where God puts you he will equip you 😊 . Watching your video helps all I can say is wow and thank you
ОтветитьYou are a wonderful and effective teacher. Well done
ОтветитьDoing Avenue Q in October. Got here just in time
ОтветитьI never really had an interest in puppeteering, but then found a thing I liked, and my favorite character loves puppeteering. I thought it was kinda funny but damn, I've never been this invested in something before haha
ОтветитьI have replayed the clip of Arlo going "Weeee!" so many times
ОтветитьGreat info...tk u so much.
ОтветитьI would love to learn more about hand puppets and developing characters!
ОтветитьWhat's the best position for when using a low table? Sitting? laying down? Should the arm with straight up or bent? I'm having trouble finding the right position
ОтветитьHi there! Big fan. What's the best advice you would give to a new puppeteer?
ОтветитьVery interested in puppeteering, artist and musician here. Just woke up today and wanted to do this. When I was younger my favorite thing to do was entertaining my baby siblings with stuffed animals and make them talk and act silly like cartoons.
ОтветитьThanks! I’m a budding puppeteer and i need all i can get to learn how to improve. This really helped, thanks a lot!
ОтветитьAs an animator who wants to try a new angle to up my reference game? You got me.
ОтветитьHow do properties stop their arms from aching?
ОтветитьI didn't expect this to be this helpful! Thak you so much
ОтветитьWow, thanks so much!
ОтветитьWell done
ОтветитьI think the “punch” also helps to make it easier and more comfortable to not move the upper jaw, for me at least. Being able to move the wrist with the thumb when it opens is more comfortable than keeping the wrist in a static position and trying to move just the thumb in a downward direction.
ОтветитьYour puppet design cost money why would you be free shouldn’t cost that much money
Ответитьso i liked the video but im curious on the technique to make it so only the lower part of the puppet move when i talk with the puppet the natural movement of the hand when trying to move just the thumb ends up moving the top part as well , is it just practice or is there a way to to help with this
ОтветитьHope to see Part 2 soon! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьDevelop a character... yes please!🐨👍
ОтветитьHi Adam! I'm K, and you're one of the big reasons i got into puppetry. I have a puppet named Zingo and I'm getting much better, thanks to you! Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьYes, I would like to see and thank you for this one.
ОтветитьVery helpful tips

ОтветитьI really wish this video was around when i picked this up as a hobby 12 years ago I mean even finding out the Henson stich pattern was difficult
ОтветитьYour channel is great and so is your website! This was fantastic! Thanks so much for this! I’d love the see a part 2! Thanks for the link for the magazine. Will definitely check that out. My monster Gilly isn’t exactly a puppet (he’s a plush) but we have a great time and he’s really loved💚💙😊
ОтветитьMaking a video short would it be better to use a lavalier mic or post production for the voices?
ОтветитьI am working on someday running my own studio that will create video games, animated shows and puppet shows
ОтветитьVery helpful! I started using my index finger for the jaw to control the head movement. My thumb would stay still and only the head would move. Lol Whatever works, I guess. Thanks for these videos.
ОтветитьThanks for your channel... really inspiring
ОтветитьHi! This video is useful! I am a hands-on face to face learner. Do you give live classes or do you know where I could go to learn? I'm in NY.
ОтветитьYes! Yes! Part 2. I’m doing zoom with Grand kids and need too create a personality for my puppet.
ОтветитьI would like some tips for the use of hand rods
ОтветитьEnded up here because I'm working on some web scraping software. not disappointed.
