I do agree that Touhou 7 is a bit easier than Touhou 6, Touhou 7 was also the first Touhou game I've ever beaten (Albeit, I got the bad ending, and have yet to get the 1cc good ending). I also have yet to beat Touhou 6 lol.

Also, you're not alone when it comes to you finding Touhou 7's 4th stage hard. I also struggle with it immensely, and personally, I have a harder time with it than I do stages 5 and 6. I can go a whole run without losing a single try and half my lives on normal mode, hit stage 4, and then proceed to lose 2-3 of my tries. I'm just glad that I'm not the only one with this problem, and that I'm not crazy lol.

Funny part, you haven't probably tried facing Flandre and the others in the extra stage mode since in order to access them, you need to beat either hard mode or higher without using a cc/continue

i still can't understand how i was able to finish touhou 6 First try, as First bullet hell ever (the closest experience i had to smth like that Is undertale) with continues and 3rd try 1cc but struggle like hell in touhou 7, i Always use 1-2 continues because the prismiriver sister hit me like 3 times at least and youmu ends me

Lol, you didn't really beat anything, you just cheesed everything... I'm not gonna say that you need to 1cc to consider the games beaten, but at least you should be able to play the last level or two without spamming bombs or getting drained of your resources

Should you get up to and defeat Reisen without using a Continue, you're given the option to choose Final A, or Final B. To get to the REAL finale, you need to go to Final B to take on the real Final Boss. Eirin is no more than the second in command.

aaah in those old Touhou games, playing for survival meant score for me since you are rewarded with a new life after a certain amount of point ! So i never broke the border, that how i could ( and i'm super proud ) finish the game in normal with one credit to unlock the extra game. ( never finished this one... )
From Touhou 10 onward though, score become useless since you collect life with a "piece of life" system.

Finally, Touhou 9 is really meant to be played with two players, it's actually a clone of an arcade game called Twinkle Star Sprite.... I played so many hours at this game with friend... Whoa

about the time mechanics in Imperishable Night
using bombs and dying reduces the amount of time points you have. in turn, if you capture a spellcard (not using bombs and not dying) you gain a massive amount of time points. for the first 2 stages, you need to capture all of the spellcards to have enough time points, but after that, they give you more than enough time points as long as you dont spam bombs and die.

There is more stages! If you clear the game without using a continue (and you're not on easy mode), there's an extra stage!
