Most people never consider the usefulness of photographic intelligence. One big problem with the tank in question, and it comes down to Chinas lacking metallurgical capability. China is currently unable to match the US in metallurgy. Good example of this is the J-20. It's a rather large jet compared to the F-22. Because China is unable to match the US in Metallurgy, it requires more material to produce. More metal required in production, making a vehicle heavier, requiring larger engines and more fuel to accomplish the same things.
