I've been playing video games with my brothers to keep in touch, and recently we switched to Dota.
I'm normally pretty bad at real-time games (whether hack-n-slash, shooters, rts'), and DOTA has honestly been the worst. Last night I went 3 rounds with 0 kills and over 50 deaths because I hadn't had a clue what I was doing.
I greatly appreciate you breaking the game down into digestible pieces like this. I might actually get on later tonight and play a couple of bot matches to see what's up.
Fun fact, Juggernaut was the first hero I played as! XD
Thanks for the guide i just started playing dota, subscribed
ОтветитьDo you think the beginners hero selections are still currently viable? Thanks for the guide its great even all these years later.
ОтветитьBREATHE
ОтветитьI don't know if someone else already mentioned it, but you can now switch between three options when it comes to the own creeps:
- right click on them to follow them
- right click to attack them
- right click to deny and if its not possible, you just follow them
I am a new player of Dota 2 and I am coming from League of Legends. I want to play mid lane so can I start playing with Kunkka and one trick him? Is this a good idea?
ОтветитьBest explanation of the roles I've heard yet. The "need some essential items so they need gold" part. I knew they got different income but I never thought of position 3-5 that deeply.
Ответитьwanna play this game so bad but learning it seems so fucking confusing. played league for 6 years tho but idk if i can get into this unless i had some friends
ОтветитьI started playing DOTA when Naix still had the BKB-ish ultimate. This game have come a long way. I still need tutorial for DOTA2 now, as I have been inactive for a decade now. This is a very good tutorial.
ОтветитьI'm already gonna miss u after video ended . Idk if you're still making dota content keep the good up
ОтветитьWhy no red and blue buff...
ОтветитьDude thanks to you i am actually starting to switch from lol to dota. I was so overwhelmed at first and i play jungle so it was a suprise to me that there was no dedicated jg role in the game. Thank you for everything :)
ОтветитьLol, I am allowed to play IO and I did... and I really like his kit.
I think because I started playing DotA2 back in 2012, but never played it often.

ОтветитьI looked at the abyss known as the skill tree from Path of Exile and I survived the Dota 2 character roster is just a Child's Play
ОтветитьSo I'm coming over from League of Legends. Is there anything in Dota like League's "attack move"? In League you can A+Left click to make your character attack the target that was closest to your mouse position when you left click. This is especially useful because you do not necessarily have to click directly on the unit you want to hit in order to hit that unit. Also you can't "miss click" in a sense that if you were to right click the unit but miss and hit the ground, now your hero is walking into the minion wave. I know there is A+Left click in Dota, but is there a way to make it work the way I have described?
ОтветитьLearning Dota 2 is like studying for an exam
ОтветитьThe first moba I ever played and actually got into was Smite, and Im currently a daily layer of League of Legends I also have a good amount of playtime in Heroes of the Storm, but havent played in ages. I really want to get into DOTA2 but the past 3 times I've tried I found it particularly overwhelming. I consider myself a heavy MOBA player but DOTA2 is just a whole different nightmare.
ОтветитьDota 1 tinker was so much better before they replaced his AOE with some nonsense shielding ability….
ОтветитьWell I just watched this video as well. Honestly the way you are presenting these guides is exactly what Dota 2 needed. Especially for new and returning players. Valve should put you on staff , because this information , and the way you present it is an incredible boon to the game.
Ответитьi feel like bounty hunter could also be a hard carry
Ответитьis chen offlane also?
ОтветитьQuestion: what are some signals to look out for you know which heroes would do well in which positions?
ОтветитьI installed today hehe ... It was my dream game and after watching your tutorial i learnt something
Ответитьyeah the guides are good. But in all honesty i think pro players and the devs could put some energy into lightening up the *anxiety* many people feel towards wanting and trying this game out.
ОтветитьYour guides have been so informative. Such great material to help get your bearings for a game that can be overwhelming.
ОтветитьThese are good guidance. Best way to learn is experience! Time to hop in
ОтветитьFor someone who has never played before what would be good ranged hero?
ОтветитьWould position would you say the dragon knight is?
Ответитьawesome vid, better teaching than 90% of the lectures I have to sit through at university
ОтветитьHey Alex! Nice video! I started playing the game with Riki position 1 and it was pretty nice. I think that passive invisibility will help a new player with positioning. Keep up the great work!
ОтветитьThis is so helpful. I tried this game around 2020 and un-installed because the players were SO brutal and nasty... Constantly just saying you suck, get out, what are you doing here etc.... I'm only 7 minutes into this video and I can see why decent players would get so frustrated... I remember a mid player LOSING HIS MIND when myself and another newb were in mid fighting with him. I'm only going to play with bots until I watch some more vids and really understand the game..
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьAfter watching these videos I'm really interested in giving Dota 2 a shot.
But I have a question:
Is there a serious Smurfs problem in Dota like in Lol?
Do you do coaching in dota2?
Ответитьany position 3 recommendations for someone new to dota 2 but experience with mobas in general enough to be capable of piloting things a bit more complex at baseline?
Ответитьpeople playing this game are just a disgrace to humanity, play league of legends this game is bad
ОтветитьTips on getting more gold and level as support? Started playing dota2 2 days ago and i like playing marci support. Im always left behind in gold and level everytime.
Ответитьthis man is doing gaben a favour
ОтветитьMID LANE SNIPER <3
ОтветитьI usually play League in phone. Then i play Dota 2 against bot for a couple of times. I don't know why Dota 2 make me very hooked, it's very complex and also very addicted
More you learn, more fun you get
I'm a tryndamere main on league....looks like I'm gonna be a juggernaut main on dota
ОтветитьWould you recommend faceless void for a beginner?
ОтветитьGOD LOVES YOU ALL
BE BLESSED AND PLAY WITH JOY
i have see one clip of dota with axe at TI 8-9 so i wanna play axe
ОтветитьNice guides but do you have ones that are more geared towards experienced MOBA players? Your hero recommendations seem to be based on ease of use but as somebody who played LoL from 2012 to 2016 on a relatively high level and have dabbled with multiple other MOBAs for a short while, I'm relatively confident in my fundamentals even if rather rusty since I haven't played one in about 4 years.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьAs a support main in LoL, this might be the first time I go carry. Luna looks very intriguing
