How can i speed up the game?

I have a Mac with VBA and was unable to play multiplayer on the same laptop. I'm only able to open one window and there is no option to open a second window. Anyone know how to do this? I want to trade between two Pokemon Gen III save files and use an Aura Mew event distribution ROM. Thanks!

I don´t quite like the new VBA - Built since it brings a serious issue with it, which brought me right back to the 1.8.0. - Ver. The thing that won´t work for me is the fact that it won´t produce smooth motion. I tried several settings (Video Outputs & V-Sync on/off ) & double/tripple checked the options so that no frames are skipped ,, Frame Skip set to 0 ,,. I contacted the developer(s) and adressed this issue but sadly, with no response. If somebody could help me with this one, it would be awesome. I personally would much rather want to have a steady and beatiful flow in terms of frames/motion/what have you then having a whole bunch of options in terms of filters. . . =(
